There are no signs indicating that it's not allowed. I personally know someone who has been to the site several times on an off-road bike, and was tempted to do it myself. There are some rutted portions of road and muddy patches, but nothing a capable biker can't handle.
@@TravelGigolo thank you so much for answering, hoping to start motorbike camping and this looks like an amazing place. Found your channel while looking for places and I seeyou have a lot of reviews. Slowly going through them. Thank you for doing all of these amazing reviews

I've been there quite a few times, the last time around 2008. My wife and I were the only ones there then, and the solitude and complete darkness with glow worms next to the river at night was great.
We enjoyed the solitude too. Also amazing how many yellow fish there were, the water was very clear and we could see them hunting from the rocks. Would be great to do a longer walk down the river one day. It's a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing your experience 👍🏾

24°35'36.8"S 30°49'28.1"E or -24.593542, 30.824460 You'll find it on google maps as well but you have to insert the coordinates and zoom into the area, and then click on the picnic spot place mark. Unfortunately it does not come up in a search.
Hi Alan, yes it is near Mariepskop. 24°35'36.8"S 30°49'28.1"E or -24.593542, 30.824460 You'll find it on google maps as well but you have to insert the coordinates and zoom into the area, and then click on the picnic spot place mark. Unfortunately it does not come up in a search.
Do you think it is possible to go to this site on a Adventure Motorbike? Or rather is it something that would be allowed?

Hi you have to go fishing at that picnic spot in march 23 then the bass and bream is biting
And look out for the babons and try the swing
The swing was cool! Luckily we had no problems with baboons.
Went there a number of years ago and Yes the facilities do need some TLC it looks like, and it is quite out of the way. Accurate , good review!!
The bathrooms especially need attention. Great spot though. Thanks for the feedback!
Looks fantastic there!! Definitely need to go there for a visit. Thanks for the great review 😀👍

Do you perhaps have co-ordinates for the site?
24°35'36.8"S 30°49'28.1"E
or
-24.593542, 30.824460
You'll find it on google maps as well but you have to insert the coordinates and zoom into the area, and then click on the picnic spot place mark. Unfortunately it does not come up in a search.
Your map disappears way too quickly. It looks like it's near Mariepskop, but no way I can find it.

I hope there are not crocodiles or snakes in that river
Hmmmm ... there probably are both 😅
And bring toilet paper
Yes! Good point. We always are our own, though.
