I have personally got through security at Ft. Lauderdale airport with a snow globe in my carry on. The agent asked me what it was and I told him a snow globe and went on my way.
Right. It's important to remember that the actions of an individual don't necessarily reflect the ideals of a group. Not every TSA employee is a hateful jerk. The vast majority just want to have an uneventful day at work and then go home.
This just restored my faith in humanity a little bit. Imagine if more people were like this. It would definitely be a better place to live that's for sure.

The young lady is a perfect example of what true kindness is and I hope my granddaughter grows up to be just like her! I would do something like that, but I'm from an older generation. Snow globes are often made out of plastic so there could've been a chance that the snow globe was made out of plastic not glass. And even if someone were to shatter it and use the liquid to make a fire (which doesn't make sense when you think about it) or use the glass to cut someone, that person would first have to know that those people have a snow globe. Second, they would have to reach over their head, unzip their bag, take the snow globe, and shatter it above someone's head before anyone could stop them

A security guard tried to stop me and my family from getting on a plane because I had a gift for my boyfriend. Apparently the crowd had my back and were yelling and cursing at him so violently that he was forced to back down.
I am so confused. At what point did they say they were sleeping? Stuff like this happens. They once took away my self-defense spray. >_> I was embarrassed because I had it for its intended purpose. Luckily I convinced them to return it once I was leaving the airport because it wasn't me going on the flight. A security guard tried to stop me and my family from getting on a plane because I had a gift for my boyfriend. Apparently the crowd had my back and were yelling and cursing at him so violently that he was forced to back down.

I am so confused. At what point did they say they were sleeping? Stuff like this happens. They once took away my self-defense spray. >_> I was embarrassed because I had it for its intended purpose. Luckily I convinced them to return it once I was leaving the airport because it wasn't me going on the flight. Sadly, the b/f I was with, who was also going on the flight, is no longer with me because he wasn't faithful. But I digress often. I often accidentally draw the worst or best attention to me, depending on the situation and the whole crowds standing up to officers is rare. However, it happens. Sadly never around me. >_>

Okay but often times snow globes are souvenirs?? Shouldn’t they be used to handling people that bring snow gloves on board? When I went to L.A. I bought a souvenir, and it was a snow globe, and they let me bring it on the flight with no trouble.
