I hope someone sees this. Hello from Nebraska USA. My name is Mitch and I grew up about 25 miles west of SAC AFB in Bellevue. One of the great joys of my youth was seeing the Vulcan flying around my home, actually quite often. I lovingly called it the "Bat Plane" since the only thing I could compare it to was the comic book aircraft, it was so different from all the US aircraft we always saw in the holding patterns. I was very impressed when she flew at the airshow, such power, grace and the thunderous roar when she made a low pass then stood nearly verticle to climb back into the sky. If anyone reading this knows of a pilot or crewman that might have been stationed here, tell them I said thank you for just being here, away from home and showing off such an incredible aircraft. For all serviceman everywhere, thank you for your service and god bless!
I have just donated and paid to get my name engraved - this wonderful creation truly does deserve preservation forever (along with the brilliant people who worked on it)
We need to remake the parts for the Vulcans that currently taxi to soar in the clouds once more. Almost a decade on from her last flight, and, as with Concorde, Airbus is to blame.
Lovely, absolutely lovely, great work ol' chaps !

The vulcan is slowly dying at doncaster airport which is very sad . Enough said
