I actually kind of like when you start rambling, 'cause you sound like you're very passionate about what you're talking about. Plus, you seem to add pieces of information that you may not have added if everything was scripted. Keep up the good work Rhexx!!!
Hey Rhexx, this may seem a bit odd but could you do a vid about the elder scrolls? like the actual scrolls. I know very little about them and they seem to be pretty important seeing as the entire series is named after them. Where did they come from? What were they made for? Stuff like that
The Elder Scrolls gives a glimpse into the Mentella. In Daggerfall, when you obtain the Mentella you make all possible endings Canon, as the game had multiple endings. This is explained in the game in the book Warp in the West. The Elder Scrolls shows images to the reader of the alternate realities, timelines, truths, and falsehoods, and shows how they are all real within their own dimension. The "falsehoods" are especially true, as stated by the Librarian in the College of Winterhold during the Dawnguard DLC. The Redguards, who came to Hammerfell from Yokuda, used this very concept to "walk sideways through time" as their dimension's Nirn faced problems of their own along with a war with elves never seen before in the main Canon Nirn. In a way, the Elder Scrolls are like binary code of the Matrix. Google Mentella Crux, its the dimension where the Mentella, and Sheagorath can be found in Daggerfall. My spelling may be off as I'm using my busted phone to type however I hoped this still helped.
Amazing video, Rhexx! Loved it as much as all the other lore videos you've done in the past. They're always so rich with theories I can't help but be mesmerized by them. You made very good points in this vid about Orsinium, I'm really curious to see what will happen in the next Elder Scrolls game now. Keep it up!
The "High Rock" Orsinium was sacked by Redguards and High Rock armies in the beginning of 4th era. (Don't know why, but everyone hate orcs). It's rebuild and now lies in between Skyrim and Hammerfell.

Hey I just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I enjoy your videos and how they shine light on this world that we all love you really know you're stuff and it's fun just to sit down and listen to your videos for hours on end. Keep up the good work man.
ESO is the only Elder Scrolls I regret buying. It's not objectively bad, I think. I just don't like it very much. It just doesn't capture that Elder Scrolls feeling for me. Now on to the video!
I know this is off topic sort of, but I find it so am zing how the lore of The Elder Scrolls just goes so deep, and you can just delve into the lore and history. And to you, Mr. Rhexx thank you for this channel and your amazing content and lore and story-telling skills.
Lore error: There were not just the old ehlnofey but also the wondering ehlnofey. The wondering ehlnofey settled in Atmora, Akavir and Yokuda and the Old ehlnofey in Aldmeris.
Yes, as "normal ehlnofey", also one detail, they didn't devolve, they adapted their bodies to the environment, thus they evolved, besides that, nice video (y)
+MrRhexx I think sybille the court wizard of solitude is a vampire, is there anything that may say that she is one besides having the same eyes some of the vampires have like serana?
Perhaps the Orsinium talked about in Skyrim is/would be located in the Dragontail Mountains. It doesn't necessarily say that Orsinium is located in a certain mountain range in Skyrim's loading screen tid-bit. They are known to come from both the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains, so it is possible that the Orsimer decided to move/try to rebuild Orsinium in the Dragontail Mountains to see if maybe the city could prosper there rather than likely have another failed attempt in the Wrothgarian Mountains. Who knows? It would be nice to find out in the next Elder Scrolls game.
No Zenimax and Zenimax Online Studios are two different companies it was ZOS that said it was canon not actually Zenimax. Todd Howard said himself that ESO is completely unrelated to the base TES franchise in terms of the universe. Don't spread misinformation because is game is far from canon.
I am not really a huge fan of Elder scrolls, I mean compared to you and the commenters, but I love hearing your theories.I started with one video and now im binging them. You earned yourself a sub. Awesome job!
As someone who has read almost every book in Skyrim/Morrowind and never bothered with ESO because it's not bethesda; I am going to be very disappointed if the lore is continued from the point ZeniMax left it in historical context. I mean apparently Molag Bal is trying to be Mehrunes Dagon 2.0 from Oblivion or something. I mean he's the daedric prince of rape...how can they even incorporate that anymore with today's touchy feely society. Then again, they added the who mass vampire rape Coldharbour thing in Dawnguard so I donno. I hope VI is pretty amazing, thanks for reading my rant if you read it. :D
For a future topic you should talk about what happens to the soul of the dragonborn upon his death. This question assumes the dragonborn did every quest in the game. Would your soul go to Nocternal, Akantosh, Hermaus Moras, or maybe Sovregaurd.
Daedric Princes usually have a preferred appearance of male or female. But you can refer to them as either since they're really neither! I'm loving words today. LOL! Keep these vids coming! I drive sometimes overnight and I'll just run through a playlist of yours until my drive is over. Thanks for what you do my friend!
Hey Rhexx! You should definitely try the Thieves Guild DLC that was recently released, I've only tried Orsinium and thought it was great but apparently the Thieves Guild is even better. Great video and hope there will be a DkS3 vid soon :p
An extra DLC would be soooooooo awesome. I've already played every DLC twice and the story mode many many more times, I've heard every line of dialogue and I want more!
could you perhaps do a lore video about the giants? i dont know an awful lot about them and id like to know a bit more about them? nice video btw, keep up the awesome work!
It'd be cool to see an Elder Scrolls lore video from you about Yokuda and the Sword-Singers. Other than that, I'd like to say that your lore videos are awesome and I hope you do the same thing if and when the next (good) Elder Scrolls game comes out!
In Skyrim, in a book called "the True Nature of Orcs" it gives two other names for Malacath; Malauch & Orkey. Fun fact, In the book mentioned above it states that "...Orcs is 'Orsimer,' which means 'the Dariah Folk.'"
the note on skyrim refers to the entire kingdom as it exists at the point in time that skyrim does after they became part of the empire the main city is at the very edge of the range between the three other areas it was this city that has been sacked and rebuilt many times and that the kingdom is named after
Even the main quest is hard to consider canon because the idea of Molag Bal "pulling" Nirn into oblivion would never work due to the Towers preventing this even with the Dragonfires extinguished
+Thijs van Piggelen But we see him attempting the act of "pulling" Nirn into Coldharbour with the Dark Anchors prior to the Towers even being touched with the exception of the White Gold Tower. Also even with the Towers destroyed Nirn would not simply be pulled into Coldharbour instead it would simply dissolve into oblivion leaving nothing left
+Thijs van Piggelen they are two separate things. The Dragonfires don't allow for the Daedra to be summoned to Mundus is mass quantities while the Towers don't allow for Oblivion to literally consume Nirn.
I wonder what the matter is with the letter you can find to the west of Riverwood is. The hut belongs to this which and it states that someone left their family and stuff, and they mention a name. I wonder if you know anything about this. Thanks
One video I would love to see is the valkihar vampires, like how they came to be mostly. I understand the whole thing with molag bal but how did their blood line develop and etc.
Hey Rhexx i have been watching your videos for a year and a half and I would like to say that you are actually pretty good.BTW what was that name of that song you used in that akaviri secrets video 2 years ago?Have a nice day.
Orcs have actual control of a large region in the dragontail mountains north of Hammerfell, they also have an even bigger influence in the Wrothgarian mountains where 3 chieftains are actually fighting for power. So Orsinium is basicaly wherever the Orcs are, basicaly both in Wrothgarian mountains (the real Orsinium) and the one that is reffered to as Orsinium in the Dragontail mountains between Skyrim and Hammerfell because Orcs live there in bigger numbers aswel. I would suggest a game called Crusader Kings 2, it has an Elder Scrolls mod in it that details where every culture is in the game, and you can play as any person from Arena to Skyrim in that game, with authentic histories, cultures, religions and so on.
Hey Rhexx I had a question, since the Aylied's Waystones, i believe that's what they're called, harness the power of the stars, similar to the Nord's Standing Stones, would it be possible to combine them for a huge boost in power?
I know I'm really late to the party on this vid but do you still play eso Rhexx? Also would love to see more dragonage content, especially lore videos because it seems like there's a lot there but it's decently confusing.
Hey Rhexx can you do a video about Werewolves and Hircine? I find the Were-creatures really interesting and Hircine at least to me seems like a very neutral almost social Daedra. In his Skyrim quest you actually hunt and kill him in his white stag form and he comes to your character not mad but proud that you did it. I was shocked at the amount of respect that he had for you're skill he gives you honest respect and regardless of who you side with in the quest he basically gives you a high five because the hunt is the hunt neither good nor evil just something that happens in life.
In oblivion if you go to the Anvil lighthouse the guy will tell you that they get ships in from alot of places and one of them is Yokuda. Even tho it was supposed to be sunk right?
I want to know what happened to the Bird people that were mentioned in the book "Father of the Niben" It is stated several times that this is the only mention of the Kind, well-versed bird people. It goes on to say that they were probably wiped out by the "Demon Cat Folk" (Ancient Khajit). I'd love it if the next game were set in Valenwood/Elswyr and we got to see the remains of this ancient civilization. Exploring the past in TES is just so much fun.
It is stated somewhere I believe that the Fourth Orsinium was relocated to the Western Reach mountains after the Third Orsinium was sacked in early 4E. Also I don't believe Boethia spoke as Trinimac until Trinimac had been devoured.
Okay, no, the original Siege of Orsinium lasted for 30 flipping years. The Orcs defended their little patch of land against the Bretons and the Redgards for 30 years, and you didn't even mention that. You made it sound like the Orcs were completely crushed in a few days like weaklings. Yeah, sorry for the rage. Anyways, Orsinium is always moving around. Like they said, it's been sacked and rebuilt many times, but it's rarely rebuilt in the same area.
We need a mod with Orsinium in it for Skyrim. Would be awesome af to run around in Orsinium in Skyrim. We need a mod if Bethesda doesen't throw out a DLC with it. Btw, whats up with the Sea of Ghosts? Is there a lore explenation as to why it is named that? I can imagine it is because of the amount of Shipwrecks (Skyrim has quite a few after all), but is there any lore on it? Something that might also cover the downfall of Winterhold :)
I think it actually makes sense for the orcs to have packed up and moved south into the dragontail mountains, given how often it was sacked. i mean, their thought process was probably along the lines of: "Well, the bretons are jerks and love breaking whatever we build. The forsworn aren't much better, either. So, let's just move away from that bit of madness and set up somewhere with a bit more of a temperate climate."
Rhexx. Stop being afraid to use ESO. It's called using theory's. Using what information is given to you from the games. Simply use what they're giving from ESO, and if it's proven wrong, simply fix your theory. Chances are, it won't be far off. But, when you're doing research, you can't be afraid to be wrong. Challenge your theories, and use it against itself. No need to fear being wrong. If anything, that makes it all that more interesting. Chin up, big guy! ~ A fan.
What I think is that when malacath was born, all daedra and mortals shun him, only when he came upon the race of orcs did he taught them the ways of battle and ultimately became the prince Prince of the oath
Even though this video is a bit old, for anyone not knowing ESO in its entirety is considered 100% cannon by both ZOS and BGS who coordinate, camelworks has an interview with one of the creators who talks about it in detail
according to the lore page on orsinium it has been, after being sacked too many times, rebuilt between hammerfell and skyrim. its previous incarnations were indeed northwest of wayrest.
I have a theory. let's say the orsinium in eso got destroyed sometime after molag bad invaded and got rebuilt between wayrest and daggerfall but during the oblivion crisis it got destroyed again and was rebuilt between Hammerfell and Skyrim
What about the ogres in Oblivion? In the quest for the daedric artefact of Malacath, Malacath calls them his servants. Does that mean that they're deadra or are they 'family'of the orcs? (sorry for bad Englisch)
This is what I love about the Elder Scrolls lore, there is an vast uncertainty of it. Different people claim different stuff, but in the end they turn out wrong or misinterperted. Kind of like in real life with all the religions, only much more interesting and cool. I really hope they keep up with this vast mystery and perhaps in the finale they will drop out the truth about everything to you and it will all be uninteresting and simple, unlike the stories people say.
So are goblins considered to be a species of elves? I know they never really mention them to be in that group but nobody ever really talks about them in the main series (given I've never played ESO) or are they considered an intelligent species such as Giants?
Mr.Rhexx, what would you say, if the Stormcloaks win the civil war, would you say that Ulfric would go alliance with Hammerfell because both of them have won independence from the Thalmor and Empire. So if they agree to a war treaty to be allainces, I would see the Redguards, Stormcloaks, and the Orcs(Lives in Hammerfell and Skyrim) working together fighting against the Thalmor, taking the battle/war to the Summerset Isle.
I can in fact guarantee that Molag bal has never invaded Azeroth.
lol
I'm pretty sure he hasn't infiltrated Draenor either.
*****
No word on weather the Orcs have entered his realm though, there were alot of portals.
+Nyghtking Let us just blame Gul'dan and Ner'zhul for that one, eh friend? :)
Sure.
I actually kind of like when you start rambling, 'cause you sound like you're very passionate about what you're talking about. Plus, you seem to add pieces of information that you may not have added if everything was scripted. Keep up the good work Rhexx!!!
I agree

Agreed, and I personally think these kind of videos are much better than the ones with the cringy intros :P
Yes i love him too as well also yes is yes and aswell
nobody gona talk about the fact that half way through the video he changes to overwatch gameplay?
That was so random, and funny at the same time.

I like how people actually discuss if ESO is canon, when it was confirmed by zenimax themselves that it is.
No Zenimax and Zenimax Online Studios are two different companies it was ZOS that said it was canon not actually Zenimax. Todd Howard said himself that ESO is completely unrelated to the base TES franchise in terms of the universe. Don't spread misinformation because is game is far from canon.
Alright. So what ZOS said doesnt matter? seems a bit wierd.
Actually, Todd Howard said that ESO is unrelated to the main series. But that goes for any spin offs. ESO is definitely canon.
I'v recently been reading up on the Chimer so it's funny you made this video now :D The stories tend to meet at some point :)
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss it's been a long time since you made these videos :D I really really love these lore type videos of yours
I remember going to orsinium in dagger fall... Ahhh... The memories

you do know that eso takes place years before the other elder scrolls games right ?
Like I said, I got 0 knowledge of ESO so I didn't know that....
Mass Vampire rape? I'm pretty sure there was a book in Oblivion about Vampirism being related to the rape of Lamae Bal.
I mean Molag Bal raped a mortal and that's how the first vampire came to be.
Yes, and that first vampire was Lamae Bal, and there is a quest in ESO where she appears.
ESO is amazing. It has the biggest community i've seen and yet , when im on youtube , i feel like im the only one playing it. Many haters.
I love the ES series...But...ESO... ew...Nah, I aint playin dat
Awesome to see an lore video again.
Have you done a video on goblins? I'd be very interested to hear more about them
For a future topic you should talk about what happens to the soul of the dragonborn upon his death. This question assumes the dragonborn did every quest in the game. Would your soul go to Nocternal, Akantosh, Hermaus Moras, or maybe Sovregaurd.
Yes, I would like to see a video on this as well.

Can you make a video about Rieklings in solstheim? And also their languages

could you perhaps do a lore video about the giants? i dont know an awful lot about them and id like to know a bit more about them? nice video btw, keep up the awesome work!
Awsome video keep the lore flowing xD i love this videos
What you said about the goblins and orc got me thinking... During Malacath's guest in Oblivion, he claims the trolls belong to him as well.
Where da boyz iz from doesn't matter, all that doez matter is WAAAAGH!
It'd be cool to see an Elder Scrolls lore video from you about Yokuda and the Sword-Singers. Other than that, I'd like to say that your lore videos are awesome and I hope you do the same thing if and when the next (good) Elder Scrolls game comes out!

There's 4 orc strongholds in Skyrim. One in each corner of the map. One in The Reach, one in Eastmarch, one in Haafingar, and one in The Rift
I'm not sure if you've talked about this but if you haven't could you please talk about the shadowmarks, symbols used by the Thieves Guild?
The first time that I've heard of the Orcs was back with the first D & D game .
But before that it was from actual legions from Europe .
I know I'm really late to the party on this vid but do you still play eso Rhexx? Also would love to see more dragonage content, especially lore videos because it seems like there's a lot there but it's decently confusing.
I have one question , if there was a big war between all of the races, which one do you believe will win ?
rhexx what is that daedric armor retexture mod you use in the skyrim battle series?
Hey Rhexx can you do a video about Werewolves and Hircine? I find the Were-creatures really interesting and Hircine at least to me seems like a very neutral almost social Daedra. I'd love to see Orsinium in HD. I found it interesting how it's in between High Rock,Hammerfell and Skyrim
Quick tip: You can turn off highlighting enemies/NPC's in the settings to make immersion better.
It is stated somewhere I believe that the Fourth Orsinium was relocated to the Western Reach mountains after the Third Orsinium was sacked in early 4E. Also I don't believe Boethia spoke as Trinimac until Trinimac had been devoured.
Mr.Rhexx does eso take place before or after skyrim?
Do you have a video on the warp in the west
Okay, no, the original Siege of Orsinium lasted for 30 flipping years. The Orcs defended their little patch of land against the Bretons and the Redgards for 30 years, and you didn't even mention that. You made it sound like the Orcs were completely crushed in a few days like weaklings. Yeah, sorry for the rage. Anyways, Orsinium is always moving around. Like they said, it's been sacked and rebuilt many times, but it's rarely rebuilt in the same area.
like Gibraltar or Jerusalem, right?
It’s like the other races are afraid of the orcs due to their power. Who wouldn’t be honestly
PLEASEEE do a video on the Ideal Masters. They're the mysterious beings who rule over the Soul Cairn. Would love to know more about them, thanks!
13:09 What in Sithis name is that?
Seeing as your the only person I can think to ask. Could the Thalmor possibly be Jyggalag worhsipers?
Mr rhexx i like to see lore about the elfs and thanks ;)
~ A fan.
I read a thing in one of the games that said Boethiah "birthed" malacath.
You should do a video about the Argonians and Black Marsh. I find them fascinating.
So according to the Goblins, Molag Bal is also Malacath? makes sense
according to the lore page on orsinium it has been, after being sacked too many times, rebuilt between hammerfell and skyrim. its previous incarnations were indeed northwest of wayrest.
I have a theory. let's say the orsinium in eso got destroyed sometime after molag bad invaded and got rebuilt between wayrest and daggerfall but during the oblivion crisis it got destroyed again and was rebuilt between Hammerfell and Skyrim
Whats with the random Overwatch stuff at 12:55 ?
What about the ogres in Oblivion? In the quest for the daedric artefact of Malacath, Malacath calls them his servants. Does that mean that they're deadra or are they 'family'of the orcs? (sorry for bad Englisch)
Can you make a video covering the sea-elves and there homeland?
Pyondea,and the Moamer?
dont forget that mountion range is huge
what water mods are you using?
It'd be great if you did a video on the Giants
Molag bal never invaded: Dragon break
This is what I love about the Elder Scrolls lore, there is an vast uncertainty of it. Different people claim different stuff, but in the end they turn out wrong or misinterperted. Kind of like in real life with all the religions, only much more interesting and cool. I really hope they keep up with this vast mystery and perhaps in the finale they will drop out the truth about everything to you and it will all be uninteresting and simple, unlike the stories people say.
So are goblins considered to be a species of elves? I know they never really mention them to be in that group but nobody ever really talks about them in the main series (given I've never played ESO) or are they considered an intelligent species such as Giants?
love your rambling videos!!! (On elder scrolls lore that is)
Mr.Rhexx, what would you say, if the Stormcloaks win the civil war, would you say that Ulfric would go alliance with Hammerfell because both of them have won independence from the Thalmor and Empire. So if they agree to a war treaty to be allainces, I would see the Redguards, Stormcloaks, and the Orcs(Lives in Hammerfell and Skyrim) working together fighting against the Thalmor, taking the battle/war to the Summerset Isle.
Orcs have always been hands down my favorite characters.
Rhexx... I wanna know more about ValenWood/WoodElves
