- With these Alden shell cordovan jump boots the customer wanted stick with a leather sole and combo heel. Once we took the old sole and heel off we replaced the cord filling and went back with black forest oak bark pit tanned leather and black forest combo heels. We recreated the brass tack pattern for the combo heel and finished the edges dark brown. After the we replaced the eyelets and added 4 speed hooks. Then we finished them off with a condition and polish with Saphir Renovateur.

Its nice to see this done minimal machines and mostly rudimentary tools.
Especially removing the eyes with simple tools. That's pretty cool. I never saw someone do it that way.
Anyway, your a true craftsman and did an excellent job on these.
Beautiful pair of boots.
Fantastic job! I especially like the brass heel tacks. I have these same boots that I've owned for well over seven years and they need a resole, so I guess I'll be seeing y'all soon.
The building of the heel block was really cool.
Damn. Amazing! It gave me a little anxiety watching, knowing I'd ruin the boots at every step!
Looked like the original soles had a lot of life left.
Are the seams not very close to the edge?
Those boots look almost too good to wear. Almost.
What does the little piece of fabric you put on the shank do?
We've found that it helps to prevent squeaking when you walk.
It brings you that much closer to God
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing this.
