I mean it's either a bread that lies or a pregnancy test that can blow you up
i feel like he would've had an easier time if he said the bread is more resistant to mold than regular white bread because of the waterproof properties, and mold is formed due to moisture so this bread has a longer shelf life,would've been genius to think of on the spot, that should've been his story for it. but of course, it's easier to think of something when you're not in the situation. and he couldve also said the secret to how its waterproof is patent pending so he can't give any details out.
