Hey-I’ve been thinking about y’all. I just wanted to hop on here and say that you’re not giving yourself enough credit.. your garden, your homestead adventure, your hard work…. It’s AMAZING! Y’all are doing such a phenomenal job. Look behind you in this video….look at all your accomplishments!!! In the world of RUclips homesteaders, there will always be bigger and better.. and so much out there to feel like you (generally speaking) will never catch up , but you guys have it right! Keep up the great work…y’all really are doing so so good. 💕Meredith
This is great! I was filming a similar video and will hold off on it til later in the summer. Thanks for sharing who you are and what you're doing! I think it is important to show the struggles as well as the fun of homesteading! Great vid Jamie!
You people are absolutely incredible! And have ZERO. Doubt that those goals will eventually become a reality! I love your you tube and are a huge inspiration to our homestead , which by the way , we are brand new at it as well!! Thank you for your kind words!
Working a full time job and maintaining a farm is challenging. You and Ryan are doing something that others are not willing to do. Keep up the great work. 👏
This was awesome. Love how you are a genuine person and share with transparency! At the same time, you guys are blossoming at this lifestyle and rocking it. We all learn as we go.
This is great!- Very interesting and informative video- We all learn as we go./ since last seminar, I still working on my goals / hard to convert dreams to reality; courage like yours is needed - Good Job guys!
Hi there! Thank you so much! Goals are always a work in progress for us! It truly is a lot of hard work turning our dreams into reality but absolutely worth it! Keep working towards your goals! Take care! - Ryan & Jamie
We never know how we will affect others by what we currently do each day, whether on a farm or in the city or burbs. I love your heart. You said "What would I want my child to hear?" Man, if we all thought this way. He asked some amazing questions! And you provided a true, real, unadulterated response. This was a beautiful love letter. I hope we all can one day define their goals and lives the way you have and be ecstatically happy in them despite the oops and surprises along the way as you all are living now. Well done guys! 😘❤️
Thank you so much! As a parent you can only hope and pray that when your children are grown and out of the house and seeking guidance from others that they are given the same type of advice. Thank you again your support means so much!
You 2, are still, of good age to pull this off. You’re inspiring, I know it’s hard, tiring work but rewarding. Don’t have injuries, torn muscles and screws in your body, makes this work even tougher. Glad to see you back; any advice for single retired people around age 68, never grew up on a farm however, fixed income permitting I would like to make a go @ it. All your advice is helpful, must admit, I don’t like failure, makes me feel like a failure.☹️. All the best and much success, Blessings.😃👏🏾
We appreciate the kind words and encouragement! We are trying to build a little something for everyone at our farm and hoping to pull more folks in that want to learn and be part of something great within our community giving everyone an opportunity to experience this lifestyle regardless of age or income. Not sure where you are located but likely some similar farms not too far away that would love the help!
Right On Jamie! Great informative video. Iowa can be filled with many challenges. Here lately it's the unprecedented wind. When you stop learning, it's because you ain't listening-I'm always learning. As far as writing down goals, we do good-only we forget to carry and same with the shopping list :P
Glen’s family moved here to Alberta from Iowa in 1904. I’m not sure it was any better here but there was land for sale. I think like any other job it is good to give it a honest try to get a feel for the work and the hardships and the rewards before you invest. Glen does say the only way to make a million dollars farming is to start with two million dollars. 😅 Have a great weekend, Annette🌺
Very interesting and informative video - thought provoking and truly inspirational. We have a small Homestead here in The UK and are thinking of buying something bigger and many of the things you talk about are relevant to us. We have also entered 50dollarfebruary2023 and are currently preparing for the challenge. We have subscribed to your channel and will follow your adventures. You might be interested in our latest video which shows some of our early preparations for next February. Best Wishes, Paul & Nadj.
