I just bought all the same for my 96 SS how do you like it? What cam and heads did you run and is it the Lq4 or Lc9 ….I can’t wait to jump in on mine…what driveshaft do you have to use?
Everything I used was perfect, no issues on fitment and i ran a couple cams in this one. a BTR stg 4 low lift and a summit brand stg 2 low lift. the summit unit was much better for this particular setup. I ended up having Southwest Speed do the driveshaft. If i remember right it was 55".
The holley swap shit is nice but not cheap. 700 dollar headers is a hard pill to swallow. If it all fits right I might go the same route with my 2000 s10 5.3 swap. Hopefully everything works out. That's a very clean truck also
Agreed! In the next couple videos i go over my thoughts on them, they are very nice and do end up with a great fit. However, I completely agree on the cost! It's a rabbit hole that I kept going down when I started buying my parts for the build. haha.
that's a good question. I am not sure. I went with the black heart setup for ease. Judging by the tunnel clearance, i would assume it did raise the engine slightly. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
@@HayesAutoWorx Much appreciate the reply. I should have bought the black heart system myself but I kind of pieced parts together over the past few years when I could find them cheap. Kind of regretting that now.
Nice setup! I want to do LS swap on my '98 Isuzu truck (which is just a rebadged s-10 with the 2.2L) at some point down the road, if you had to remove the airbox cover to replace the evaporator, will there be enough space with that engine in place?
it's been so long since i installed that part, i can't remember well. Honestly, i don't think you could. With the headers installed there is no room for the bottom bolts that i can't remember.
What kind of steering shaft you’re using?

Do the black heart motor mounts raise the engine position by an inch like the trans-dapt ones do?
