Then Coup'53 took place and supposedly survived the Massacre in the palace. He survived a close range shot. Then Rev'66 took place. Nothing happened to him during the Military regime under Guad Mengistu. Then woyane came in 1983. Nothing happened. This documentary, at least 15 yrs old. He is in it as a witness. He must have died afterwards. But pretty sure he knew lots of secrets and died with it.
