- Disney Plus is the latest and greatest thing in streaming. We take a look at what Disney Plus or Disney + offers fans.
Disney Plus is probably the most anticipated streaming service in the short history of streaming as a platform. Other services sort of grew into what they are under the radar. Disney + on the other hand is dropping at a time when everyone is paying attention.
Disney + is a collection of everything Disney has the right to offer at the moment including 17 Avengers movies, countless animated classics, classic movies including non Disney imprints such as the Sound Of Music. and of course full sections based on their major brands Marvel, Pixar, Disney, Star Wars and National Geographic.
2 issues i have and i hope will be improved:
1. Need to have a "Continue Watching" List
2. Provide the option of Resume or Play from beginning.

There might be. (I’m not gonna get it till the 20th) Using Netflix as an example, the continue-watching section doesn’t appear until you don’t finish watching something. And it didn’t look like he watched anything yet. Or maybe it will be like Amazon Prime, where if you click on a show you were watching it’ll say “Start Over” or “Continue where you left off”. Although I haven’t bought it yet, I hope this help.
Most of the reviews I'm seeing so far are just reviewing the menu.
I think the National Geographic shows are probably the most overlooked part of the service. Nobody was really talking about them.
There isnt that much content on natgeo.

A Robles they could easily create a pg13 section also this was just rolled out. I’m sold and have never subscribed to service like this, I could only imagine what they roll out over the years like Netflix does. The nostalgic Disney original movies from early 2000s and also original shows are what sold me
I love educational programming. I only wondered why there was not a lot more stuff in that section.
Probably because people are too focused on Marvel and Star Wars
The struggle is over because of Disney+. No more searching 95% of the Time on Netflix for a good movie
I have the exact problem with Disney+ than Netflix. In Netflix I can't find anything to watch, but in Disney+ there are too much things to watch and I can't decide lol.

Yesterday waiting for this to get started I felt like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. I have been covering streaming since 2013 via RUclips and my website and never looked forward to something like this. So I get you. I think its going to be a monumental moment in streaming.

That's a fair observation. I tried to break things down some but you are right it is not a totally review focussed video. We will have to get to that in more detail. Thanks for watching. What do you think of the service as you see it so far?
The Streaming Advisor looks ok probably going to get it to watch Mandalorian and the other Star Wars live actions like the Casian Andor series and Kenobi series. There are also some live action MCU series’s that they talked about making. How often do the Mandalorian episodes come out? I heard weekly but I’m not sure.
The Streaming Advisor it’s fair to only do a preview since we don’t yet know how much they are going to add and how frequently they will add stuff. Too early to do a review on a service since a good streaming service needs to have frequent additions.

What else did you expect him to cover? I think this was a great review, it shows you how the service runs and gives a good preview of the catalog of programs that are included.

Seriously!? Millions of people stream Netflix all day long with no problems. Streaming isn't some new technology that we're still figuring out. Disney has more money and resources than God so yes, I 100% expected this thing to be ready to go at launch. Disney has been hyping this for over a year.
Very excited about this but def wont take out netflix. This leans more towards a younger generation imo. Disney can only get so graphic with their shows they share.

Something that should be noted.... Several of the Marvel Movies and a few of the Star Wars Movies are not available at launch. These each have a later release date due to certain agreements with other Streaming companies like, Netflix.
Some of which (movies), won't be available until Summer of next year (2020). That said... The classic content they have available is looking solid! Nostalgia factor is big!!

Here's my problem if I get this. My first and main priority would be to watch every classic animated Disney feature from when Walt himself was alive, because I haven't seen a lot of those films and I want to watch them all before I see any of the live action remakes. So once I watch all those films, I am not sure what I would do with this afterwards. Not only that, but it's all just Disney content. And I agree that it's the best content but there is still content from other companies that I would like to see as well, especially DreamWorks Animation (I actually like slit of those films more than Disney and Pixas, especially How to Train Your Dragon). That's part of the reason I wish DreamWorks was owned by Disney instead of Comcast. However, one thing that would make me get Disney+ without thinking or debating at all would be if they brought back the 6 cancelled Marvel shows from Netflix, Marvel's Cloak & Dagger from Freeform, and The Gifted from Fox.
If Disney is going to do anything with those specific shows it would be more likely on Hulu but I don't think they can even on anything from that group until 2020 at the earliest

Dear Disney, congratulations! You've been hyping your streaming service for over a year, it finally drops and DOESN'T EVEN WORK! Seriously, how do you screw up this bad? I just signed up for the service and when I click on movies in the web browser I get an error.....absolutely inexcusable on multiple levels. If this bullshit isn't fixed soon I'm checking out b4 the 7 day free trial is up and I'll resort to "alternative viewing methods". Get your shit together Disney.

Something to note about this service is some of the 4:3 shows are cropped to be 16:9 ratio, like all the early Simpsons, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and Goof Troop and maybe more.

I like the service! Good shows. I started watching Gargoyles for the first time and it's great. Had to set up a VPN to get it though. Been hearing rumors it won't come to Japan until 2021. Ain't nobody got time for that.

While certain movies on it are good themselves, I don’t think they fully fit the term of “Disney”

Unlike netflix, Disney+ actually has a lot of movies that you really want to watch and often in 4K. Its also cheaper. I just cancelled netflix because it sucks so much. That's because netflix is way too expensive, political and offers less and less good programming.

Frankly, its a massive oversight on Disney's behalf releasing it in this state- they spent all that time trying to paint a fancy UI but left off some fundamental basic shit? This server may be worth it someday, but right now they've got next to no new content and are just charging you to watch shit youve already seen. I'll wait.

If you're into Marvel and Star wars then its worth it. If not don't waste your money. Everyone is talking about the vault of old shows and movies. But how many times will you really watch them is the question. How many times will you watch Bambie before you get bored? It will seem as bad as cable channels showing the same movies over and over.

I know they just released it. But there is so much they can do with this. Like give a watch in chronicle order for the MCU, that can include the tv shows too. Also have a random episode option for The Simpsons, it's how they are aired on TV.

Everything they are showing on Disney Plus they will end up having it on Vudu and Movies Anywhere and you don’t have to pay a fee every month or year like you will if you subscribe to Disney Plus. Vudu is free to join and you can also watch free movies and tv shows.

On a budget of $275,000,000.00, it only made back $392,924,807.00....That is a certifiable flop at the box office...and definitely the biggest failure of any "Star Wars" film released. Those are the numbers. This wasn't even REMOTELY popular.

No just Disney. It doesn't matter though because even if you sign up for the package you still access each app separately.

Where Disney+ really blows is I have a 4K TV and all that. The only option I have is to watch all their content in is 4K. I can't like switch between 4k and standard definition. Or choose to watch 4K or standard. I blew through a terabyte of data with Comcast watching Netflix on the highest settings and got charged extra. So I turned the settings down on Netflix and can let it go night and day with no worries. Not really all that much difference in viewing on a 55" TV. $7 isn't a bargain if I exceed my bandwidth and have to pay Comcrap an extra $20 or $40 bucks. BTW hold time today if you call is 3+ hours lol

Pretty good first impression, I get told i don't get to use the service for another 4 and a half months. So what's going to happen now is I and hopefully many others are going to watch this illegally and Disney isn't getting a fucking penny off me. Let's hope they go bankrupt by the start of 2020!

I've been able to watch stuff on my phone Xbox and original Chromecast no problem but my Vizio tvs with Chromecast built in it won't play. Keeps saying Disney plus is not available on this Chromecast device. Which I find weird but hopefully something to do with it just launching
