Good to see someone keeping it real regarding XDefiant and its community. With the way the community acts it'll push away any casual audience that game has and the game will die unceremoniously. COD's lack of identity is the biggest thing that irks me, even more than the manipulative EOMM system. I can't stand the stupid skins and crossovers with non-relevant IPs. Although COD has never been a mil-sim or super grounded, it was consistent with its aesthetics. The original MW trilogy, World at War and Black Ops all tried to immerse the player in their worlds. From Black Ops 2 onwards Activision has neglected immersion in favour of cartoony skins. Every time the classic aesthetic appears to return (MW19, MW2 2022) they add the ridiculous superhero skins. I've moved on to Insurgency Sandstorm but watch over COD out of love for a franchise I've spent a lot of time with. However, I don't see things getting better.
Dude, give F.E.A.R. a try, you may need to run the Logitech USB fix for it, but dude, that game is SOOOO good, and the faked AI is even better than anything out today IMO. other than that i gave Grounded a try, found out some armors have set bonuses, and one make it so ants think you're one of them, so as solo, you can kite in big bugs, and make the colony fight them for you LOL. get even more bug parts and ant parts as a result, it's cheese, but it works.

I completely agree with you about the DNA strands (i couldn't tell you how many times I got killed with that in the way). They just get in the way. Makes me want the old bind system. Like in CoD4, the waypoint (like A and B plant in S&D) you could make them smaller by binding them to a key to run the (/bind k waypoint bla bla bla) so they don't get in the way. Also found out the Fallout 4 pack is pay to win. The scope turns anyone your ADS-ing to florescent green and sees through smoke with full body bright green.
Yeah, I think I played CoD United Offensive for 8 years and it was the main game, (get home after work, crack open a beer or 6 and have fun) but when I wanted to do something else, I would play CoD4 once in a while. The reason UO stayed alive for so long was the free maps and the realism mod (the realism mod was server based so you didn't have to download it and screw up your files on your PC).
Sadly as long as people prop up games like XDefiant ( “because it’s free” ) we will never get a better game. To many people fall for the same things over and over again! Yeah XDefiant for sure is going to save the FPS genre. 😜 I’m with you I would rather play something better

I don’t absolutely hate Xdefiant, but I certainly don’t love it to death either, my biggest issue is that there is 0 progression in the game except for the camos, (which we have literally unlocked in every COD game.) I disagree about wanting the game to die, competition is good for everyone. The reason COD has been able to pump garbage for the last 5 years is they have had 0 competition. B06 is also the last chance of COD for me. I am hopeful that the classic prestige mode will actually keep me playing the multiplayer. I can handle EOMM but if there is no sense of progression or using my double XP tokens why would I waste my time?!

Got used to the patterns of trash spawns and trash hit detection... Lucky to get a 2 kd from time to time. I opened the store ONE time, I got for a 7.5 kd right after looking through the store. Well Sledgehammer did atleast release the best riot sheild counter yesterday with the RGL 80's kit using sticky gernades and drill charges as it's ammo type
I’ll have to try it! Though my favorite counter is the Sword feels so good to use on them. I have a hate for the RGL 80 after the 4 months it ruined hardcore mode ( my preferred game type ) for four months it spammed the lobbies and no the finally fixed it.
