    what a dream location , i read of this river as a boy from scotland in an old book on fly fishing, since then it has always been in my mind

      It was well worth the tortuous hike to get down to that spot, but there are other much more accessible spots along the yellowstone river inside the park where you can catch equally big fish. Yellowstone National Park is very much worth a visit, I highly recommend coming in mid July when most of the rivers will be fishable and boiling with wild trout. It was a trip of a lifetime for sure.

    Are you in the canyon below the falls? I love that river.

      Yep, we were well below the falls. Perfect time to hit that section, the damming effect of that fallen tree created an unreal honey hole.
