    Will it hold for 3d print helmets and motorcycle helmets

    • @MakeForOthers
      @MakeForOthers  4 года назад

      Jacob, it just depends on the weight of the helmet. But, if it's heavier you can just swap out the parts for thicker ones or double up on them. Thanks for watching!

    Hey Dave, I was wondering if you have a video or link to a video on how to mount this hanger to the wall. Thanks!

      Hi, thanks for watching! I don't have a video on that. The good news is it's pretty simple with a "hollow wall anchor". Just make sure that you've got a bolt that fits the internal threading of the wall anchor and fits through whatever hole is available for the part you're attaching to the wall. Hope this helps!

      Great to hear it helped you! And your helmets are pretty sweet! Did you end up using the same parts or do it a different way? Thanks for watching!

      @@85gslse Thanks for watching. Every helmet is a little (or a lot) different so there isn't a specific parts list. Other than the foam padding, all of the parts I used were purchased at a hardware store.

    What dimension Chicago screws did you use? Thanks

      Hi Kim! I believe they were 1/4". It'll depend on the thickness of the brackets you want to use. Hope this helps!

    Hey, is it possible to place motorcycle helmets as well?

    • @MakeForOthers
      @MakeForOthers  4 года назад

      Maybe, just depends on how heavy the helmet is. Most of the parts you could double up on to avoid bending the upright. Also would make sure there was plenty of padding where the helmet would rest/touch so it wouldn't get scratched up.

    I don’t have too many power tools. Is it possible I could purchase 1 of these from you?

    • @MakeForOthers
      @MakeForOthers  3 года назад

      Zach, thanks for watching! It should be possible to make one of these without power tools, just depends on the kind of helmet you want to mount on the wall and how strong it needs to be. Unfortunately, I don't have the capacity to make more right now. If you do need to make a version that requires power tools, a lot of my builds have involved borrowing tools from friends. Hope this helps!
