you did more work than necessary. alot more. you didnt need to remove the radio or separate the dash from the metal

Nothing about your actual video, but I am absolutely tired of looking for video for a F'n XJ and getting nothing but ZJ videos....Man can people separate the difference, it is annoying. :(

Lmao im having the exact opposite problems. I'm only lookin for ZJ vids and XJs keep popping up. There are only a couple ZJ dash removal vids but none of them show it step by step. And this one seems to be the most steps out of the others. As someone said above it wasn't necessary to separate the metal support from the plastic dash. The other ones i've seen they have taken it all out in one piece. and unscrewed some nuts in the engine bay. But none go into full detail.

What's amazing is this guy only uses hand ratchets and screwdrivers. No power tools whatsoever

Power tools can destroy plastic socket threads or even crack the plastic to the point that something else has to be replaced. Doing screws by hand is slower, but is safe.

@@UNITED2009100 not unless you have an electric gun or ratchet that stops turning once it's snug

@@thelonelywolf88 Most tools that have adjustable torque are good tools to use, but trying to figure out just where to set the torque can sometimes be almost impossible. With old plastic parts, some screws come out easy where others need more effort and or more torque and care. I'd rather be careful taking things apart by using hand tools. Yes, it takes more time, but I usually have less issues of broken parts or stripped threads.
