short answer: no ive put the relatively playable mod in the description. you can try it and see for yourself how bad this actually is. we lose soo much quality of life stuff in hiding overlays. and thats a hard restriction atm, the cameras can only be on top of everything else. i read the technical limitations of this might be gone in 2.0, then the devs can at least consider letting cams be pushed down. if it does happen then these ideas will be in the overhaul mod that i probably never finish. ill share my experiments unlicenced and hopefully other people can run with the idea. without that change i dont think this approach is going anywhere :/ only good for cinematic tours of floaty bases built with the cameras off.
