As always, thanks for watching! x
Very nice video.. I am more and more falling in love with the junk sail system..
Haha that’s the goal 😎
I am not a sailor but I have heard how treacherous the Bay of Biscay can be. Congratulations on your accomplishment, you must be proud. I know i would be.
Thank you, I am 😄
I cheered when you saw land, Hazel! Congratulations on a seamanlike crossing. As Matt says, it is an accomplishment to be proud of. Brilliant to see you make these passages. Well done! Best wishes, - Chris.
Thanks Chris!
Fantastic!!! Congratulations Hazel. Long distance single handed sailor! :)
Thank you ❤️😎
Congratulations 🎉
Great achievement!
Thank you :)
Another awesome vlog. Thank you for sharing your adventures
Thank you ☺️😊
An accomplishment to be proud of for sure. Thank you for sharing with us Hazel. Hope your new year is going well and best wishes to you for a great week ahead.
Thank you Matt!
very cool!
What you need is a wind vane steering system, it will save battery power and keep you sailing at the right angle to the wind it also works well down wind which the autopilot is not too good at
Yeah my plan is to fit one this year 😅
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😁
Nice sailing! Well done on your passage.
Thank you 😄
Well done Hazel. It's always good to get across the Bay without a s**tstorm.😂
True enough, glad that’s done 😂
Very cool, you are a brave soul, I'm new to sailing, I own a trailer sailer ✌️
Well I hope you get out a lot 😎
@@SailingAlanouwoly I will this coming summer, for sure, Georgian Bay ✌️
Hello, nice video, thanks. Wonderful boat you have. Is it possible to buy the Watch commander here in Europe? My google search brought me to Emerald marine with this message: Unfortunately, EMP no longer sells the Watch Commander, but it is available through Lunde Electronics located in Seattle Washington.
Yes so did mine, so sorry I don’t know.
I was given my watch commander by friends and they told me they discontinued it.
But there is a similar product called “AquaAlarm Last Watch II” which you might get in Europe
@@SailingAlanouwoly ok thanks. Probably from Drake and Mo. Where I saw it also when Drake was talking about it
Yeah exactly
Good for you, Hazel, you’ve got this. It would be interesting if you could show your position from time to time. 130 miles left, means where? I enjoy your meanderings about coffee and sewing😅.
You are quite the musician too.
Fair winds
Thank you 😅 and good tip, I’ll try to include that in the future :)
Well done hazel good entertainment Could you please show your navigation chart with your position frequently (see sailing brothers u-tube) as example . good luck further
I’ll try do do that in the future, thank you 😊
Very well done, Hazel! Super brave to sail the Biskaya single-handed. May I ask why you have a german flag? Greetings, Oliver
Hey Oliver, thanks :) I’m German, have lived there my whole life :)
