You remembered the 1955 Pontiac that Ricky Ricardo purchased new. He bought it right after Fred Murtz bought a 1923 Cadillac 'Time Bomb' as Ricky described it.
I have a feeling I'm going to cry watching the two '73 Lemans/Gto's go cheap. Man, I need those rear bumper bits and other things. Will tune in tomorrow and watch the show.
Red GTO grand Prix is a beautiful looking car inside & out wow. I started watching this episode @1:30am this morning but had to go to bed for work so I have returned to watch this whole episode again. Once again thanks for taking me around with you & greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Mr GTO had great taste, pride, passion & love for his collection as you can see..RIP Mr GTO....another custodian gone sadly..cheers from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
Oh no-an Astre-I bought a new one-it quickly turned into the "Disastre" -terrible car-but there are none left, so hopefully someone will restore it-not me!! lol-thanks for the video!
The wood boat is a Larson Falls Flyer with a Kiekafer outboard on it. It is restoreable and yes it is worth a pretty good buck. My friend restore an inboard one. The 4 cylinder flat head was in sad shape so the boat got the 4 cylinder flat head fire ball with 2 updraft carbs that was in my 15ft Correct Craft. My boat got a Ford 302 4BBl. I don't know if there are any pictures on line from the old MACBA ( Midwest Antique & Classic Boating Association) club or not, but if there is the boat name is Boondoggle.
Thanks for the manufacturer info. After rebuilding two wood boats myself , I know that this one is worth decent money as it is. The work it took make that shape is incredible. Definitely a labor of love . having the knowledge is the hardest part to rebuild
Your favorite Tempest is (judging by the stripes) a “Sprint” model with had the 215 hp ohc 6. It had a quadrajet, split manifold, a better cam, 10.5 to 1 cr. I contend that the tempest is the base model with the lemans above the tempest. The tempest name was removed in February of 70 and was replaced by the T-37. Thank you for bringing this sale, I would have loved to have been there as Pontiacs are pretty cool. We lost “The Goat herder” in my neck of the woods, he also had a great collection of Pontiacs (mainly GTO’s) and parts.
My mom and dad had a 63 Buick convertible. We were coming back from Fort Knox from seeing a family friend and on the way back my mom didn't realize how hot she was getting it. My brother, dad and I had to pee in a milk jug to get water in it. We made it home and had someone check it out and she had got it so hot it melted a small hole in one of the pistons. That was a beautiful car and I was only about 8 but I remember how beautiful it was.
Nice to see so many Pontiacs in line . The 53 look like a car that can bee saved . The 53 is missing some part but Browne Auto Salvage yard have 3 part cars . I have parts on my 53 from them from Josh Browne . I was there first costumer from Sweden .
Esprit was an upmarket trim level of a Firebird. It was the equivalent of a Camaro Berlina to compete against the Mustang Ghia. Ventura was a trim level after 1962 when the model was discontinued. Then it was brought back in the 70s as part of the Nova platform. It was Chevy Nova, Olds Omega, Pontiac Ventura, and Buck Apollo.
Boy I love the Boat what a well built on that’s in the day you didn’t have a mold every piece of that boat with probably hand done and put it together in bloood. They don’t build boats like that no more he by boat today and he don’t know how to repair, fiberglass and do gel coating. You just throwing your money away and then, when it does write out, that’s exactly what you got right out of ain’t worth putting back together that motor will be worth putting back together and seeing it shine.!
Mr. B. Here ! Mr. Goodpliers these vehicles I remember as a kid & young man looking this good were ( NEW ) WOW 🤯🤯🤯🤯 👀👀👍👍. Will be looking forward to next video. 👀👀😎😎👍🍺🍺
I think the 66 Grand Prix is about the pinnacle of Pontiac design. I bought a new 78 TA and wish I still had it. However it did not have the great looks of the mid sixties Pontiacs.
The Esprit was actually a special model. Pontiac starred iff with the Skybird (couldn't use Bluebird) because of Bluebird bus manufacturer. The next year was the redbird and the follied by the yellowbird. Largely marketed towards women.
At 49:40, I think that was an early type of anti-theft device. The battery was on the RH side and it disconnected the battery cable. I had a 72 GTO triple silver that I ordered. By 72, it was actually a LeMans with a GTO option.
I could have bought one red with a white vinyl top white pinstriping for 55 still have a CB radio from back in that day factory and it worked the motor the 455 was just rebuilt by Jasper and I could’ve bought the car for $3000 and I passed on my friend is my mom‘s best friend she died about three months later and her daughter ended up with the car Wichita. I think is better thing the car stayed in the family !
Mr. B. Here ! Mr. Goodpliers , I dis-agree on the last wagon only because there are so few , am a Olds guy but I reach a point the less I see vehicles and models wagons are so under rated. You would know , here in North East if you see a wagon you would think that you are smoking those funny cigarettes! 🤣🤣 LOL !
How do anybody put those carbs? I don’t care what brand are flavor aux you were a call right they’re gonna put that vehicle back and original Nancy as possible and sometimes it’s really hard to do when you’re talking about numbers like the motor. Yeah, I ever do some very beautiful cars out there!
How dare you say Pontiac people are anal? BTW the 66 Grand Prix has a vacuum gauge on the console but 65 was the last year for those and it should have fender skirts.
FUNNY....WHEN I THINK. OF LUCY... I ALWAYS THINK OF LUCY AND DESI. GOING WITH SAMMY DAVIS JR. AND HIS WIFE....TO. THE. PUSSYCAT THEATER. TO SEE..DEEP THROAT...... KINDA CHANGED MY PERCEPTION. OF ..THE MEANING OF.........I LOVE. LUCY......
41:50 still a very deadly perch for every baby absolutely zero built in seatbelt harness on the hazardous seat, a very stupid design & impact would launch a occupant right over & out of the seat & that would be it a very bad scenario & I'll bet alot lost their lives in this seat because of Zero occupant retention factor.
very poor showing The camera was mostly showing just the Red with black top Gto.and the all Black one next to it. Ionlywarched apx 14 minutsand wenr else where ,
These should have gone to MECUM auto auctions, not at site, more eyeballs, more money, they take junkers....Little GTO, by Ronnie and the Daytona's......A blast from the past.....
That '76 Grand Prix is almost my "holy grail". I have been looking for a particular example with specific options. This vehicle did not have the center console - which is one of the features I am looking for. Additionally, I am looking for one with a 400 c.i. engine with a 400 transmission. The one you have featured here has the power windows which is another option I wanted. Color is not an issue - nor do I need T-tops. I found the exact one that I was looking for about 10 years ago - but hesitated and someone else snatched it up.......I have been on the search ever since.
The station wagon next to the red gto is the best I've seen in a long time I love it..me again from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍
You remembered the 1955 Pontiac that Ricky Ricardo purchased new. He bought it right after Fred Murtz bought a 1923 Cadillac 'Time Bomb' as Ricky described it.
Love the wagon at the 40.30 mark 😍
I have a feeling I'm going to cry watching the two '73 Lemans/Gto's go cheap. Man, I need those rear bumper bits and other things. Will tune in tomorrow and watch the show.
Some great Pontiacs...

I Love the station wagon!
Oh no-an Astre-I bought a new one-it quickly turned into the "Disastre" -terrible car-but there are none left, so hopefully someone will restore it-not me!! lol-thanks for the video!
Fender key lock on the red Pontiac convertible is for an auto alarm system
Great video, thanks for bringing us along, thumbs up, that wagon in the begining is a classic
There are some nice cars there, I have a 66 Tempest, straight 6, 3 on the tree... It is a clean car... Thanks for the video...
Thank you so much for an info packed trip through Pontiac history , you are a veritable encyclopedia of interesting facts . Stuart in Canada ..
That 66 GP, really stole the show!!! Those quarters are laser straight!!!

I didn't realize the T-37 replaced the Tempest. I thought the T-37 was part of the Tempest line.
My mom and dad had a 63 Buick convertible. We were coming back from Fort Knox from seeing a family friend and on the way back my mom didn't realize how hot she was getting it. Okay, now that 69 Pontiac wagon absolutely needs a 70 GTO front clip, just like that 74 wagon! Then they'd be SAA-WEEEET!
Right?
RIGHT!😊😅❤❤

@ 55.00 i wonder if the baby ejection seat was a factory option? lol
The Esprit was actually a special model. Pontiac starred iff with the Skybird (couldn't use Bluebird) because of Bluebird bus manufacturer. The next year was the redbird and the follied by the yellowbird. Largely marketed towards women.
I prefer this Poncho collection to the Trans Am collection from a couple weeks ago.
Those grills on the 55’s are just brutal! I mean there’s no fancy open air intake!
never find sales like this in eu
Yup that last wagon should have the dual purpose tail gate. To drop like a truck gate or to swing like a barn door
The key lock on the fender was an mercury switched alarm usually dealer installed
Hello from Detroit, my uncle has a triple black gto convertible
1964 lemans with fender mount side view mirror!
@49:39 is a key to set the car alarm . 69 wagon 54:09 car has power door locks and also has a power rear /side antenna @54:33

They usually had a siren mounted under the hood. Very popular anti theft system in the 60's - 70's.
👍👍👍

Pole Barn Garage would have been all over this, if Dalton hasn't already.
1976 GP, LJ was top of the line
That l j is nice but the s j is the one I like

How would a person go about locating these old car auctions ? Are there any websites that list upcoming auctions ?
Yes, search Vanderbrink auction. She does exclusively collector cars. There's a nice Chevrolet muscle car sale coming up in Idaho later this month.
WE CALL THOSE PATERN BOATS
EACH PIECE IN IT
IS USED AS A pATERN
Ford held the patent on the three-way wagon tailgate in 1965

UGH! That 74 Pontiac wagons front is hideous. If it were mine, i would 'HAVE' to put a 70 GTO front clip onto it! 😮 Absolutely!😊
😅😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
FIERO 4CYLS
...WHERE IRON DUKE BLOCKS WITH PONTIAC. HEADS

If it's 4x4 it's a K-20 not a a C20.
The 66' GTO had the best taillights.
Very strange location for the antenna on that Pontiac wagon!
THE ESPRIE. WAS. A TRIM ONKY
Le Mans 455 yes very Nice 👍 hell yes but I a old man 66 on the 20 of September 14 days and I still asking WHEN THE MY INSURANCE Going to go down !
I’m telling ya! I ain’t going!😂

That's not a T-37 but the rarer GT-37 go back and look at it again
How dare you say Pontiac people are anal? BTW the 66 Grand Prix has a vacuum gauge on the console but 65 was the last year for those and it should have fender skirts.
