That is what we are seeing with the current resurgence in creating music and sounds using vintage recording gear. There is something about the character in this approach that is inspiring, compelling, and just plain fun.

TAPES 01 focuses mainly on synth soundscapes, using various vintage synths, FM, Modular, and even physical modeling, and after it is inside the engine these sounds are transformed in various creative ways.

Love that laid back rendition of "Happy Together". On a separate note, is it just me, or is the audio out of sync in this video? The audio seems to be coming in about 1/4 second late.
Yeah, this was a lot of fun. So, I went back to check for a video delay in my master editing space and things appear to be synced up there. I capture the audio separately as well so when I do the edits, I can adjust the volume of voiceover and instruments separately and also mute the voiceover audio when the instrument is playing to avoid those dreaded keyboard hit and other ambient noise.
I sync the audio to the loopback audio from the video capture source to get things working together.

Hello again, so it looks like there is some crazy issue going on that I had never noticed before. The livestream today seemed to have a similar issue and I am working on fixing this ASAP. I appreciate the feedback as you guys are my eyes and ears, my supportive community quality control and I appreciate it so much.

🚨“Nerd Alert” So what it boils down to is some sort of buffering in OBS but the problem was the video not synched with the audio and I was syncing my separately recorded audio to the video audio which caused it to still be out of sync. I am going to adjust the video offset so that the audio will be where it needs to be.

Yeah, that was my feeling as well when I was first introduced to Tapes 01. They have just done such a great job providing not only a massive number of sources but also presenting them in a fun and intuitive way, and to top it off have given us the ability to load our own samples.

That was my thought exactly when I discovered Tapes 01. They not only provide a huge number of sources but have given us a fun and intuitive way to work with them, then taking things even further by allowing you to bring your own samples into the engine.
