It still makes me so sad we lost at least 2 years (maybe 3) of prime Usyk after he announced he was moving up from Cruiserweight and Joshua, Fury, and Wilder strangled the division by fighting just once a year and not respecting Usyk's right to be automatic mandatory.
Nobody in history beats a prime Usyk. Usyk in Joshua 1 was the best performance and movement I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen Roy Jones, Mayweather, Pac Man had some unbelievable fights in his prime but Usyk is 220 and a big guy and he’s fighting super heavy weights. Always out weighed by 20 pounds. I give Fury credit he took these left hands and just stayed slightly out of knockout range. Usyk had to work hard and reach more to touch Fury’s chin.

Before the fight I thought Usyk would take it based on his previous fight m.o. His conditioning is outstanding and his ability to hit and not get hit is second to none. What is consistent with Usyk is his stepping up the intensity & pressure in the middle to later rounds, putting winning rounds together leaving his opponent to get a knockout to win. Great video Joey - Thanks. I watched the fight without any commentary (to avoid any media bias) and have since rewatched it with the Pain Game commentary, both times scored it 116-112 (without any 10/10 rounds).Fury definitely fought a better fight than last time, but Usyk clear winner. Is almost as if this was the Fury that Usyk expected first time around and knew his game plan.
I love the latter part of this video. People have VERY short memories. Tyson Fury has had a fantastic career and given us some incredible nights. I'd like to see him finish now. His legacy is still intact. Undefeated multiple time world champion, 2 defeats to a guy who's up there with prime Ali. That's not a bad legacy to have. ❤️🙏✌️
Not a Fury fan but he has accomplished more than most of us can dream of. Just spoils himself with his BS . Love Usyk and glad he won, the man is a warrior and a gentleman .
Fury was brilliant last night, but Usyk was otherwordly. I want to still support Tyson because I remember his extraordinary post-fight speech about mental health after Wilder 1 (also how gracious he was in the ring regarding the outlandish draw that night), but around Usyk he lets himself down badly. And Warren’s diatribe in the ring was hideous. Usyk makes them look like children. They should shut their mouths for a moment and learn from him.
I was watching while listening to you , True Geordie and co on stream. I thought you were the only one on the panel that wasn't biased against Fury. It was a very close fight. Many of the rounds so close they were hard to call. Anyone who says this was an easy win for Usyk is deluded.
I support Usyk but even I knew that Fury's real chance is to lean down even more but he came in fat😂, his team is quite dumb. They are used to sail on his size.
If you didn’t watch that with the “We hate Tyson Fury hate club” you would have had a different opinion on that one Joey! I think it’s disgusting DAZN are giving the pain game the chance to do these events with how biased and disrespectful they all are, you are discrediting yourself as a reliable source being included in that group with fools like KB or what ever his name is.
Hi there Joey, I'm Australian and I watched your call on the Pain Game broadcast. I felt for you insofar as you were clearly getting drowned out by your colleagues whenever Usyk did something good. That said, I was super impressed by your objectivity in real time. It mustn't have been easy seeing your guy not winning the match overall, but you conducted yourself with fantastic integrity in my opinion by giving an unbiased scorecard in real time.
The good thing about your analyse is that it is objective and you break things down well. You also say you don't know, rather than having an answer for everything like many ex boxers or pundits.
Big fan of Joey… But the commentary on TPG was horrendous, mostly at the fault of Geordie. He doesn’t know how to be objective. Being used for traction, not for knowledge. These post-fight breakdowns are far better informed & insightful when you’re flying solo.
Fair play Joey, we know you do like Fury but you still scored it pretty much spot-on. Watching TNT was painful, they were incredibly biased (as expected, but even more blatant lol)
I had Uysk by a couple of rounds. Joey that was a tough watch with you and the other lads 😅 They were doing my fucking head in tbh! Can’t watch that again if it’s going to be that biased 😮💨
Many fans were swept away by the biased coverage of the commentators and ex British boxers who scored the fight 114-114. As with AJ, a big traditional heavyweight like Fury will not outwork or outbox Usyk over 12 rounds. Their best chance is to stop him in the first half of the fight, as they will gas out in the 2nd half where Usyk comes into his own. It is heartening to hear someone give an honest account of last nights fight and I applaud you for offering an unbiased view of what happened. Although I am not a Fury fan, as his antics and his entourages behaviour has left a bad taste in the mouth at times. There is also the Nandrolone episode, as well as glove tampering etc. That said, my opinion of Fury as a boxer who could become a great fighter, was when he fought the dangerous Kevin Johnson, and he followed his corners advice to the letter for 12 rounds. It really impressed me at the time, and his rise through the ranks afterwards did not come as a surprise.
Well done my man. You were the least emotional man on the Geordie panel last night and your guy lost. Geordie wanted to cry when fury got a few slaps in 😂 You’re a great, fair and objective pundit. The right man won but what a great fight.
Usyk indeed is the best of this era imo. About this specific fight; the deserved winner. He landed more, was more efficient, more elegant, more respectful, more offensive, more damaging strikes to the head, smarter, more ring control all while being the smaller fighter, lighter fighter and with a reach disadvantage. But one note; Being the GOAT of an era is a weird statement isnt it? Being the GOAT means being the Greatest of all time😂 so of all era’s. But people like to throw around the word whenever they can.
Dubois I’ve seen the previous fight and I’ve seen weak mentality fighter who has been dropped from the jab, now one more thing left from Usyk - take the last belt and retire! Hope he’ll do it this way.
Great effort fury you done us proud, it’s was a great fight and a close one at that. Usyk is a great champion and fury couldn’t have lost to a better man 👊
i never tried your watch along before, but I gave it a go and it was much better than listening to the DAZN commentary. hope DAZN keep that option for future big fights
116 to 112 on all scorecards you can't argue it really! Maybe a round different. The fight was competitive enough that they could have gave it him without it being the worst decision ever. But it would have been a bad call. But considering Turki and all the promoters wanted a rematch I'm very pleased the scoring was on point
Up until Rd 7 was for Fury mostly about covering his face and preventing Usyk from sudden punches that could result in KO. Very rare times when he actually was able to hit Usyk’s face or head. Clearly better fighting genes visible in the Ukrainian, better focus. Older but much lighter and still faster on his feet. Well deserved win.
Very honest opinion from you , totally agree in everything here. Usyk is a master art of boxing ,it shows that boxing doesn't always mean attractive knockouts. The quickness of Usyk is just class. Fury still has so much in he's tank , he needs to enjoy Christmas and look at so many positives, but I think we all have to admire how good Usyk truly is .
Uysk did everything you said, Uysk literally just upped his game in every level too. Yeah, Uysk won even more convincingly. He is the best and we know it now.
Just one more easy fight for Usyk. Tall, obese, slow and average skilled is not the tools for fighting Usyk. The decade with deluded circus clowns in heavyweight is finally over.
@@danwaters4139 Not even close,- Usyk had him 110% under control all the time. Fury learned from the first fight, better cover up better - else he would land on his arse. Easy day at the office for Usyk. Specially Brits have deluded into an illusion that "Big, slow, low ring IQ, often obese, clumsy, predictable and at most - average skilled men" really are "GOATS" in heavyweight. Usyk picked them all with with astonishing ease. He had much more demanding fights against fit and skilled men in cruiserweight.
This was a good fight from bell to bell. I scored the fight the same as you did. 4F, 7U, 1 Even. Both fighters fought well. After watching Fury post-fight behavior, I'm even more concerned of him having CTE. I hope that Tyson Fury retires and begins a dominant role as a boxing commentator. As is, Tyson Fury is made for the media life. I hope that he does not have too many more fights that his speech begins to falter. That would be an expensive shame.
Great point about the fake fans. Same people who support Usyk now were AJ fans that became fury fans when AJ lost. They just love their unbeaten fighters
I think Daniel Dubois is the last fight for Usyk. It only makes sense, it is his only controversial win and he has the last heavyweight belt. The winner becomes the actual undisputed heavyweight champion on paper, even though he has already proved he is that. just not on paper.
Fury doesn’t look after himself between fights and of course his history of heavy drinking etc, bound to catch up with him, that said Usyk is different gravy
Thank you Joey for being objective! Usyk is the best! However, saying that Fury was exposed is just ridiculous. He is clearly top fighter, and probably is still #2 HW fighter of this era. I'd like to see him vs AJ and DDD. I can see him beating both.
I just want sky to fight wilder then he can say he destroyed the 3 headed dragon wilder fury and AJ imagine a cruiser weight beating the hardest punching heavyweight of all time
Very honest opinion I have it to Fury but agree both fighters probably only had 1 dominant round each! I felt Usyk in the early rounds wasn't getting much success a lot of shots hitting gloves and arms I problem I think Fury had was Usyk finished majority of rounds strongly. I'm not annoyed Usyk got the win but I am annoyed in the manor it was scored.
I don’t think it was a robbery. But I do think Fury won. He landed the bigger shots, got the bigger reactions, and took the sting out of most of Usyk’s most effective shots by rolling with them. But I’m not upset. It was a great fight, super competitive the entire time. Fury is genuinely fantastic and he won me over with that performance
Tyson Fury is still a great for me, the trilogy with Wilder was legendary and Wilder was in his Prime and most dangerous man in boxing, Fury made easy work of a legit contender in Whyte, performed valiantly in the Usyk fights, the Klitschko fight if I'm honest I didn't think Fury did enough to win the titles from Klitschko thought Klitschko won that. But in all Fury has been great hope he continues.
Based on the compubox stats it should have been 10 rounds for Usyk and 2 for Fury. This is also the reason why the AI judge scored it 118-112 where the AI judge scored it 2 tied rounds.
Fury said himself "if i can't beat Usyk I was never any good and have no right to call myself the best ever" So it's just not fans turning against him. It's fury himself saying he was never any good. His words.
Thank god we have a fury fan being unbiased for once it was a competitive fight but Usyk once again showed his class and did what he needed to do. People saying robbery are insane😂
While I was hopeful about his trainer, I have stated for the longest time that Sugar Hill is all wrong for Tyson Fury. Fury lacked the specific footwork, tactics, technique, and skillset needed to defeat someone like Usyk. No one will ever outbox Usyk. However no one should ever be too simplistic in fighting Usyk. Someone like Fury still needs a mildly diverse strategy in order to defeat this southpaw. More importantly, Fury showed no aggressiveness in the early and mid-rounds. He should have actively pursued Usyk and he did not.
You are good. 9 : 3 for Usyk is real score. Big belly is fantastic target and Usyk loved it. Judges had ONLY ONE JOB. To count. And Usyk gave them that. He allways does. He is genious. He knows that boxing is about make points and do everything in his power to make shots on the body, anywhere and move constantly to not be hited. He doesn't care about power of shots, but numbers. Condition is ALLWAYS on his side. What a great teacher.
Usyk is a Generational Talent. Fury is done he can't improve at this point. Will be interesting to see if they both continue or be smart and retire. It would have been good if Fury had accepted the result instead of the narrative that he can't be beaten. Fury getting away with cheating was poor, AJ v Fury isn't any good now. The post fight media in ring was garbage. You are a good guy Joey 👍

Cool video, ta Joey. Out of interest which round did you score as a draw?
Felt for you during the watch along. Keep up the good content ✊👊
Big respect bro, last night you kept it real from start to finish. Tbh, the rest of them (except Brian and Lawrence) were kind of doing my head in😂😂😂
Big fan of Joey… But the commentary on TPG was horrendous, mostly at the fault of Geordie.
Wish fury was as honest as you Joey and admit he lost
Felt fury won that by a round, not sure how the judges score cards had it 8 rounds to 4 towards Usyk. Would even lean more towards a draw
I thought it was a draw tbh - but not surprised by the lean to Usyk, I think that’s a fair result too.
What were you watching. Obviously nit the same fight the rest of us watched
Sugar hill admitted fury was losing
Cry more haha
I had Fury winning by 10 rounds
You’re prediction was right, Fury won that fight.
Gaaah😀
@ Robbery,
Well done my man. You were the least emotional man on the Geordie panel last night and your guy lost. Geordie wanted to cry when fury got a few slaps in 😂 You’re a great, fair and objective pundit. The right man won but what a great fight.
I really like the objectivity , thank you
Daniel Dubious is the only hope - But not sure he can. USYK is the GOAT of this era
Bakole could but he’s not a big enough name.
Usyk got a chance to become duble undisputed! And THEN say game over 🎉
Great effort fury you done us proud, it’s was a great fight and a close one at that.
Usyk is a great champion and fury couldn’t have lost to a better man 👊
i never tried your watch along before, but I gave it a go and it was much better than listening to the DAZN commentary. hope DAZN keep that option for future big fights
Terrific analysis..
Honest view point. Good stuff mate.
Well done Joey, you showed a lot of class last night on The Pain Game and very balanced coverage of reality here 👍
Great review👏
Very honest opinion from you , totally agree in everything here.
Usyk is a master art of boxing ,it shows that boxing doesn't always mean attractive knockouts.
The quickness of Usyk is just class.
Fury still has so much in he's tank , he needs to enjoy Christmas and look at so many positives, but I think we all have to admire how good Usyk truly is .
Uysk did everything you said, Uysk literally just upped his game in every level too. Yeah, Uysk won even more convincingly. He is the best and we know it now.
Answer this question 🙋
If Joshua (over the hill and off the back of a knock out) beats fury. Was fury’s who career make him an over rated fighter?
Just one more easy fight for Usyk.
Tall, obese, slow and average skilled is not the tools for fighting Usyk.
The decade with deluded circus clowns in heavyweight is finally over.
The only deluded clown Is you for saying this was anything other than a very close fight.
Until you consider the huge height, weight & reach advantages....@@danwaters4139
Great pundit. And along with the pain game and froch this is the go to channel.
Uysk won and im from the same street as tyson lived on
Usyk has no reason to fight dubios,he he already beat him,,he has nothing more to proove
Dubois,,, he wants a payday, it seems the only one more concerned about the sport and being the best,,,,IS.
Respect to you for giving a good balanced view and your loyalty to Fury
Fair analysis on both fighters I had it Usyk a round or two but lot closer than the first fight
Would anyone be interested in Fury vs DDD? Most want to see Fury - AJ but that could also be a big one.
Definitely a robbery seems a constant theme with Saudi. Absolutely ridiculous scorecards the fix was in
What do they gain by fixing it, make a case…the money was in a trilogy, and that’s not going to happen.
Humble in defeat when he has a right to be disappointed
I hope he gets the rematch and gets a good pay day
I think Daniel Dubois is the last fight for Usyk. It only makes sense, it is his only controversial win and he has the last heavyweight belt.
The winner becomes the actual undisputed heavyweight champion on paper, even though he has already proved he is that. just not on paper.
Usyk has proved it on paper already
controversial win??? is it a joke?
Well spoken Joey. 💯
It was even 8_4 usyk or 7_5 usyk
Solid Joey. Nothing wrong with backing your man. Enjoyed your analysis leading upto the fight. Keep up the good work brother 🥊💯
I can see him beating both.
how was the snow ?
Who do you guys have for Fury vs. AJ, in case they fight?
I just want sky to fight wilder then he can say he destroyed the 3 headed dragon wilder fury and AJ imagine a cruiser weight beating the hardest punching heavyweight of all time
No robbery. It is what it is.
The right man won and people can argue about the margin of victory all they like.
Fury said himself "if i can't beat Usyk I was never any good and have no right to call myself the best ever"
So it's just not fans turning against him. It's fury himself saying he was never any good. His words.
I thought you were going to cry on the Geordi live podcast yesterday ... That was so funny!
Nawwww robbery Fury deffo edged it. 🤢
Thanks for being objective, lot of respect...
Joey, I totally agree with you. Oleksandr Usyk has had an illustrious career. He should now retire while he is on top.
We all went into this fight not thinking Usyk will be the one administering body shots 😂
I gave it to Fury, but maybe will watch it back as had a few drinks last night. Respect
The better skilled and better prepared boxer won again, no surprise.
Good scorecards, terrible commentary
The industry wanted Fury to win this bad and the commentary manipulated a lot of people.
116:112 was fair.
Right man won the fight 💯
