If you cycle your radio power does it return to home zone and channel or stay on last selected? We have been trying to get the APX6000xe's to go to a previous default but our radio shop can't get seem to find if it's even possible. We also found if you are on channel 6 for example, turn off the radio and go to channel 1 then turn it back on, you could reach to turn it to channel 1 (our emergency fall back channel), but if the channel selector does not turn a position, it stays on that channel 6 from above. Obviously that can cause some confusion under stress. Great video!. Nice seeing how others are set up.
No, the radio will stay on the channel it was last on when it was powered off. If the radio is turned off and then the channel selector knob is turned to a different channel and the radio is then powered back on, the radio will set to the new channel that was selected while it was powered off.
really enjoyed the video of taking care of your two way radio.
