The death at 18:22 is honestly an extremely smart reference to the original Sonic.exe Tails death.
There's a lot of clever references to the original game indeed.
What surprised me the most, is how you can make Cream die int he exact same way she did in the original game.

Tails’ endings are quite bitter than the rest. He has to deal with everything for being Sonic’s best friend and closest companion. Possibly Sonic must’ve given Tails the memory fragments in hopes that he would use them to do the right thing. I feel very sorry for Tails. He knows what will happen all the time, he has to kill at certain points, he’s going through mental depression and bipolar disorder. Exeller has quite the taste of torture. I’m glad that Alice intervened in time before Tails had the chance to commit suicide.
But the timeline- er, sub-universe would just reset again. (This much refferencing of this being timelines has almost gotten me doing it as well.)
Actually in one ending he DID commit suicide

I prefer Tails' solo ending of the first round, it's epic to see him destroying Exeller once and for all.
You probably already know by now but he didn't kill him, that was a clone
Solo & duo endings in Round 1 do not matter, they get killed offscreen so tails died anyway. Exeller mentions that if he kills either of the 6 characters (3 in Round 1), the region expands, therefore he's able to reach mountain peak, just like he did here when amy was killed even though the previous trio survived. 0:28 *"I guess you forgot about the girls"*

@@morpheusthehedgehog7651 Exeller can’t be killed by normal means, this is shown in the Wiki, Round 1 (Knuckles Solo and Knuckles and Eggman Duo) and Round 2 (By Tails and Eggman). He can only be killed by other Highests and maybe even Demons.
@@nyquil-addictandcoffee-enjoyer In the worst ending, you play as Exeller and fight Alice, and the interesting thing is that if you fail, well Exeller gets Thanos snapped as well as Alice.

Tails vs Amy exe’s theme is actually from the game called deltarune so it’s actually Susie’s theme
So did Tails actually win? He's not mutilated or corrupted in the results screen and being at the Master Emerald, Exeller would be weakened by his own admission. Given how Tails killed his giant clone he could surely take down his weakened form, even without Alice's help.
He didn’t exactly win. Although he survived, the timeline reset and back to the beginning. Also Exeller is immortal and Tails only killed the clone cause it had a small percentage of Exeller power. So technically he won but only to be sent back to the beginning. He could fight but he already doesn’t want to and even if he does he has a small chance of winning. If he has help from Alice he can, but if not it will be a long time for Tails to win and it will be difficult
