Yes, we have Mike, Will and Leila. I've worked with Leila, taken a number of her courses and she is fabulous. When she solves a problem she is trying to find the most efficient way to achieve that task. I definitely tip my hat to all 3 of them. When I grow up, I want to be like them!
Thanks Michael for the very kind words! I am very happy to have joined this amazing online Excel community. You should consider making your own channel or site. You always find gold nuggets and we can all learn from them.
That is so sweet of you to think that I can contribute something to the community. Learning from you has totally opened my eyes as to amazing charts can be!
this is brilliant. I knew subscribing would pay off. this is perfect for what I've found myself doing. only instead of companies it's different categories of a budget.. I'll definitely be watching this a few more times.
Super cool chart!!!. Really enjoy all your tutorials. Does these variance and custom format charts takes up lots of space in excel, for eg: if i include 20 of these charts in one worksheet, together with 20 other pivot tables and charts, will these charts takes up alot of excel space (due to the formulas and customs formats?)
You are just doing a great job thank u for helping us get better on charts and by the way i like C chart even though they all looks good because anyone can reads them all
Is there a way do make it dynamic with slicers? For example: having a slicer that filters months so I filter months to February it will show the variance from January to February and if then change the filter to March it will show the variance from February to March?
Hi Leila, Thank a lot for your excel videos for charts help me a lot to enhance my skills in Excel, and also I have created some macros. Now I want that whenever someone add-inn my Excel it automatically add a custom ribben for my Macros, Can you please help me in this.
I like your version one Leila. I have tried with error bar line style with end type instead of begin type without changing the formula to negative and arrows are pointing to the right direction. Hope I have got it right?
Hello Leila. All your videos are awesome. Didn't you think in developing some customers visuals for Power BI? You would add a great new flavor to the visuals there. What do you think?
Hello Leila, just started following your channel. Very impressed with the content and is really useful. Please can you advise what font style and size you are using for your chart labels?
Use variation(s) or difference(s) word instead of variance. The variance and standard deviation are statistical measurements which shows average deviation from central point of data.
Grab the file I used in the video from here 👉 pages.xelplus.com/variance-chart-file

The latter versions are indeed more intuitive and easy to read. I do love what you're doing, Leila
Thanks Dmitry. I agree - and they take up less ink too.
Brilliant use of intentional "#N/A" results in the formulas to eliminate the unwanted "0" labels on the chart!
We have Mike, Leila and Bill Jelen - sure will have strong confidence in excel. I so pleased
Thank you Maher! That means a lot! There is a great online Excel community out there and we get to all learn from each other and improve.

What do you think?
I have to try this
How do you show this using a pivot table?
Nice to see this
I use the arrows to indicate changes in percentage in between columns

Hello Leila, thanks for the good work. By the way how can I enroll into your excel advanced program?.
You're welcome Robert. You can see my current courses here: www.xelplus.com/courses/
where's the link to download this chart?
In the description - Just click on "Show More" below the video.
Why arrows with same % but different sign are DIFFERENT. I mean the 8% red arrow is SMALLER than the 8% green arrow.
Leila, I love your videos. They are simple and easy to assimilate. Anyone interested should also subscribe for her courses on Udemy.
Thank you Tobi for your comment and the support. Very glad to hear you find the videos useful.
