I might be wrong but I think the pumaspeed and peron maps are known to be quite torquey and like lower down push than liking to be revved out, where the revo one is more linear. A youtuber on here called Car Rambles who used to be pretty active went from Peron Stage 2 Pro to Revo Stage 2 and said it's a game changer but then went S280 after that too I think. I had a 140 ST-Line before but it was written off nearly 3 years ago when I was passenger. Looking at new car and might consider mk7 ST or might go mk8 or part of me wants to go for something older or even newer but lowkey like a Golf GTI

I'm going to Scarborough Sunday, I've got speed cameras on the M1, A1M, traffic jam on the A64, soon as the road opens up.....a mobile camera van! Then I've got 70 to 50 to 40 to 30 back up again, dual to single to dual to single, traffic lights, pot holes, another traffic jam on Seamer Road, same coming home, bumper to bumper back to York, A64 choca with traffic police, doesn't matter what car you've got, you can't do any speed anyway!
@@richardburns5925 there’s a time and a place isn’t there. I’m no saint, but I do believe speed limits are archaic in some places now, what with how capable modern cars are. Speeding around town or in 30mph zones is simply a no go … however out on some back roads or choosing places where no one can pull out on you, clear view of the road ahead etc. always exercise caution but I don’t see the problem in those areas myself.

My mate had the Peron Stage 2 Pro, it's not 250BHP as the standard turbo is at it limit around 230BHP which has been proven by mountune as they work directly with the ford data for the car.... hence why the mountune stage 2 is 230BHP which is what I have on my ST...My mates car was not faster just a bit more torquey low down 😁either way they are great little cars
You can go stage 2 even without an intercooler just advised that you get one and not a lot of tuners would allow u to go ahead with stage 2 without the proper hardware

@@SpiritBlueFezST I went with the CP2 map, I was on the mountune mp215 map and it was a subtle difference but you could feel it pull from 1st and 2nd gear.
First and second gear don’t exist haha. When you have these mapped they remove the torque restrictor in first and second so it just spins. Could do with an LSD

120d is probably the most unstable car I’ve ever driven, sounds absolutely terrible and looks it too. If you haven’t driven the ST and the 120d then don’t compare them, the ST is arguably the best handling hatch under 10k. Owned it for 3 years and it’s never failed to put a smile on my face

@@superbrit3845 it did 221WHP on the dynojet, stock reading before she had her upgrades and map was 168whp. car was practically brand new when it was mapped. depending on what percentage you use for transmission losses it works out to about 250bhp
@@Kpwiz Something isn't right as the pick up is so lethargic and slow suggest to me poor mapping that is focused on top end rather than mid range pull and drivability. I'd be interested to see this on a different RR from where it got tuned as I'm confident you'd see very different numbers.
Still not as quick as my mk4 polo 😅 she’s only packing 220 brake but dose 0-60 in under 4 seconds (spinning to 40) and dose a top speed of 172 tested in Mexico… Not bad for a 17 year old polo ;)
Obviously never driven a MK7 Fiesta ST, EVO magazine rated them above all their rivals along with every other mag, more outright fun to drive than pretty much any other car under 100 grand
