Really can’t say enough about Deano’s commentary and their overall chemistry. Straightforward but warm, enthusiastic and informative. Especially compared to other marathon commentators who are usually at best awkward and sometimes insecure and rude, he is an absolute gem.
You can just tell he fucking loves the game and has an enormous amount of knowledge about it. Sometimes you get the speedrunners who are just mechanically great at the strategies involved but aren't up to snuff on the actual core of the game. This was not that and it was fucking awesome for it :D

The speed runners voice/accent, sounds so similar (Maybe a bit more chill) to Troy Bakers voice. Which of course, is pretty ironic due to the game he runs. Would love to see if he can do a Joel impression.
I’ve seen Anthony run this before when he was trying to break three hours and it was already nuts and so impressive. It’s amazing how much he’s improved on that time and I’m always in awe of how easy he makes this stuff look.

Loved the commentary and it shows that being cautious isn't always better. I tried to sneak through the game as much as possible, but when you play it a few times for the trophies you'll start to notice that you can sprint at quite a few places to save time.
Not really. He is playing unpatched. Enemies are way less aimbotty and way more dumb. Try to sprint any area of the game with multiple human enemies with a patched game. You will just get sniped in the head.

I love the relationship between Joel and Ellie in this game. The whole story of this game is amazing! By the end you feel so emotionally invested. Can't wait for TLOU 2. I hope it's as good or better than the first.
The speedrun is perfect but in grounded mode in current version, more enemies come out and are more aggressive... In the room after catching the first Molotov, there are 4 clickers and a few runners and there is a clicker just before taking the stairs, for example, but I repeat, good run

While playing this recently, in the winter segment at around 2:24:00, I was able to jump onto the ladder that David was carrying. Maybe you can save a couple of seconds by letting home carry you to the other ledge? I haven't tried it, but I would like to see if it was possible.
It's weird. Yes, that can happen, but the modding community decided it would count as a glitch. TBH I think it's an odd decision because it can happen accidentally, but it's an accepted one. Funnily enough, there's another ladder oddity much later, in the bus station in Salt Lake City. If you stand in the wrong spot when Ellie drops the ladder, you can get launched into the air high enough for it to result in death when you land.

Eh, probably just memorized enemy patterns. There's only so many things the AI can do, it's relatively easy to know exactly where their head is going to be at any moment. Online players are a different animal entirely.
I beat this game on grounded when it first came out but now in the remastered version I'm stuck and I feel like they gave me way less materials and ammo. I'm interested to see how this goes especially at the part I'm stuck at.
The ammo drops are dependent on how much ammo you have so I’m assuming you are saving your ammo which means less drops it’s almost better to use everything when you get it

Really good that there is someone to explain the story. I played this game and know the story but I wished more games would explain the story.
This was a great run but it was the commentary that kept me here.
This is by far the most entertaining speed run I’ve ever seen. Both commentary and gameplay was superb.
