- This video is about how I changed my life 8 years ago, when I left the citylife and moved 1000 km to the north and started a new life close to nature. Close to all the things my heart was longing for.
These 8 years have been so challenging and hard but also wonderful and magical in every single way. I have learnt so much from that day I came to the old house in this smal village in the forest with no money, no job and no plan on what I should do with my life.
But from that day I started living, for real. I started appreciating things that I had never even thought of when living in an apartment in the city. And I learnt that you can never feel the wonderful, comfort feeling of warmth if you have not yet been cold.
I started with nothing but a dream. And today, I live my dream. Everyday I feel so thankful for still being able to live here in my little paradise deep in the forests in the north of Sweden, and working with all the things I love, and sharing my life with someone I love.
In this video you get to see a short summary of these years. Of course, many details are not included since the video would be 2 years long if I would include all the things that happened along the way. But at least it tells my story in a big picture :)

As much as I admire and envy people like this, we need to remember that what we see are only fragments of these people’s lives.
Even Jonna has struggled, as she tells us in the beginning. Quitting school, living alone, worrying about money.
I have a twin who is abnormally well functioning, and as frustrating as it can be, I get nowhere comparing myself to her. I have ADHD, depression, anxiety - she does not. And even more fortunate people can’t do what she does. She just had a baby a couple months ago, and is working out. I sleep til noon and watch RUclips.
But I know this is just temporary. So I try to take things one step at a time. I’m still young. I still have a lifetime to reach my goals. One being to live in a small town/village like this, surrounded by nature.
We don’t need to rush. We don’t need to live the picture perfect life we often see on social media. We just need to do what makes us happy. Whether that is playing music, going on a walk, playing video games or watching tv. If you do what makes you happy, then you _will_ have lived life to the fullest.

So hopefully this one gets through: the one website I would recommend most is the Centre for Clinical Interventions! It's made by psychologists in Australia and they have lots of different workbooks for different issues.

Мне было достаточно узнать о том, что нарушения социальной адаптации - это девиантная форма развития личности (или даже её стагнации)
Осознав, это (и прочитав ещё много статей, посмотрев видео на ютуб, а также книг, в частности, Юнга) с меня как- будто сбросился груз. Мне стало легче дышать.
Все время до этого я была в апатии и депрессии, я даже не понимала, что со мной что-то не так. Никто не понимал. Умом я осознавала, что моё поведение болезненно. Но окружающие уверяли меня, что это просто лень и это работало. Я преодолевала и думала, что так делают все - через боль, головокружение, тошноту, вялость, обессилие и серый мир. Я осознавала себя со стороны как человека, которому нужна помощь, но я не осознавала изнутри. Только поверхностно. Я не замечала множество проблем со здоровьем, которые обернулись не хорошими последствиями.
Как же мне мешала установка "Я сильная, мне никто не нужен, я все знаю и со всем справлюсь сама" - мама мне говорила,что так нельзя думать и нужно брать помощь, но я считала это глупыми советами.
Мой путь это: сильные проблемы с жкт; полная смена всех привычек питания/сна; осознание своей гордыни через библейский сюжет (мой научный интерес в университете- религии/ социология религии); случайная цитата Юнга о нарушениях социальной адаптации; случайная социологическая конференция (я слушатель), на которой был доклад о девиациях подростков; видео на ютубе про инфантильность; частичное исцеление.
Не знаю, зачем я это пишу, но твоя история отозвалась во мне. Сейчас я думаю третий раз сменить специальность и пойти учиться на психолога, но параллельно, боюсь ошибиться, так как это может быть травматичным выбором, а не искренним и идущим от души

The village you live in is very beautiful. I grew up in a village of about 40 people. The name of the village is Kasaan which means beautiful place in Tlingit. For me it was the best place to grow up. The closest store was 45 miles away , and the only way to get to store , was by either a boat , or sea plane.

There's internet everywhere now. She may lied a little about money, cause I'm Swedish and without money you can't just leave the city and go unless you're gonna live like an homeless in the woods, and just because it's a small house it doesn't mean that it doesn't cost a lot. Real estate agencies know how the place is nice and will try to risen the price when someone buys it, and trust me she bought her space cause these little towns are all over the estate agencies on internet, and you can't rent unless you're gonna stay for summer or winter. If you want to come here and buy then prepare a check of 500k;2mln dollars. Foreigners get even higher prices so be careful. And have a good 4x4 cause to go to the nearest market you're gonna have to drive for hours until it's night when you finally come over. Plenty of Sheiks bought land here an they travel with helicopters. So yeah, that's it.

Climate refugees seem like a future and we can't close the door for people escaping a problem that's caused by us all. People that are in the same boat as us all.

Remember at first when she said that she had no money and no job? She also said it was difficult at first, well, that's true, to achieve something you need to pay some price, meaning working hard, it might be hard at first but in the end all the efforts are worth it, I also have many dreams, like seeing shooting stars, the starry night, eclipses, Aurora Borealis... This is honestly the life we all deserve to live; in peace at last.

That's a great amount of courage to suddenly take a decision to leave everything behind and settle down in a remote rural area where there is no opportunity. It is a radical change in one's life not very easy to adopt and adapt. I really appreciate your decision.

@@calisongbird When you experience such a vast beauty such as nature, most if not all health problems heal after a while. I remember when I took my ill grandparents to the seaside for 3 weeks, they felt and looked better - almost all of their illnesses made from stress went away in just 3 weeks! My grandmother's heart was healthier and my granddad wasn't so stressed and could eat properly. So, the answer to your question is that nature is the key.

People like this are living real meaningful life. They are deeply thinking and feeling the meaning of everything around them. They're away from the cities, cars and from everyone that tells them what should they do in their life. Study hard, take that class, never fail, you must take that job that you hate bc of its great money to work another job that u hate more for more and more money then we start losing the meaning of everything beautiful in life and focusing on what's more instead. Getting more will not make you happy, it'll make u want to get more than the more you have. We all should follow our hearts. We are here to live and living isn't just eating and sleeping in a home. We are here to be happy and to enjoy the life that's given to us and we all have the qualifications of getting that happiness by looking deeply inside our souls for the meaning.

Cuz its a long way my city is at sea level and the forest touch the end of my country so it's hard to think of going there

I'm so grateful for what you do. A year ago I moved to the biggest city in my country and I felt very happy about it because I worked hard to move from my small town. I have often heard about how great the opportunities are in big cities, how many interesting things you can learn in them, how much you can try and experience. But now, despite the huge number of people around, I feel deeply lonely, my health has deteriorated due to poor ecology (this can be easily seen on my face: I have acne, although I have never experienced skin problems before). Of course, this city is full of entertainment, festivals and everything else, but physically and due to travel time I don’t have time to get anywhere (and I don’t want to go anywhere, to be honest). I felt such great sadness and disappointment. Is this really what I wanted? Is this what I was chasing?
Then I gathered my will and thought, if not life in a big city, then what would lead me to happiness. I started to think about living in a small town near the coast. And this initially seemed very strange and unacceptable to me. Previously, I didn’t even allow myself the thought of living in a small town; I spent all my strength to leave the small town in which I was born.
Well, if we assume for a second that I will eventually move to this paradise of the world, then how can I, for example, make money? How can I find my loved one among a small population? How can I best realize myself and become happy and successful in all areas of my life?
What a blessing that my internal questions were answered in the form of your video. Thank you for being an example for me. Now I believe that my dreams can come true. Please continue to be yourself.
I had a similar trajectory: put everything into leaving my small town, spent years in a major city, had fun and learned a lot, but then realized everything the city does not offer - safety, strong community, a sense of rootedness, spaciousness, nature, freedom. Now I am back in my small town and I have the things I was lacking in the city. Listen to that small voice speaking inside you, even if doubt is also present. You will get to where you need to be ❤
