Werewolf 1987 needs to be redone. So much potential. It is still the best WErewolf effects on TV and they were practical effects too. Super stylized and it followed the premise of the Incredible Hulk. THe show gave you a slice of what the people were like in different parts of the USA while Eric hunted for his bloodline's origin. THe stakes were also heightened as ERic was being hunted himself by Alamo Joe. Great series. It needs a reboot. Just get the same creature effects people please. NO CGI

My brother and I adore Wolfblood, and I found out my best friend (who is American!) loves it too :) I'd never met anyone who knew about it before. The entire interpretation of lycanthropy and the duality of human and wolf instincts really went above and beyond for what was (essentially) a kids' show.

1987's Werewolf is still the best, way ahead of its time. I agree with others, the effects were amazing for a show, and blow the other shows since then out of the water. Given Rick Baker and Greg Cannom designed the effects for the show, it's no wonder the effects were so amazing. No janky low budget CGI animation. Man, all of that in these shows is so unfortunate. She-Wolf of London had some good effects, following also the Werewolf of London homage.

Alamo Joe tracks Eric to Remy’s Mansion and He and Eric have a long conversation and Eric tells Alamo that He’s a Werewolf and then tells Alamo that He will explain everything but needs to end the curse. Then Eric screams at Alamo to back up and go hide and that’s when Alamo Joe sees Eric transform into the Werewolf. He allows Eric to do what needs to be done and Alamo Joe is in No place to argue about the situation. Regarding "Hemlock Grove": Roman Godfrey is NOT a lycanthrope (as you stated) but a vampire. The tension in the series literally is the very result of him being a vampire while Peter Rumanceck is a werewolf. It's truly fascinating how poorly researched most of your videos are.

Just recently they made a video about the "Hellraiser" franchise, but they weren't even able to pronounce the name of one of the most important characters (Dr. Channard) correctly. I'm not saying that everybody has to know the correct pronounciation, but they're making a video on the matter, so this shouldn't be a problem for them at all. Werewolf was the first show with lycanthropy and I remember forming a crush on the main character. The allegory portrayed by lycanthropy and being non-hetero irl is astounding. The idea of curing oneself(to a 15 yr old) was disconcerting. But, overall it was a very great show and I remember feeling empowered by it nonetheless. Later research into lycanthropy from other sources made me watch ALL of the other shows on this list with fervor. My favorites are Teenwolf and The Originals/Legacies.

Another great video! Although, Teen Wolf has it's own chapter, but doesn't seem to be in the video. I was a writer on Teen Wolf and wrote five episodes. Thanks for spotlighting these other great shows. Keep up the excellent work!

Roman Godfrey is Upir, NOT a werewolf. Upir are a type of Vampire with the exception that Upir are incredibly more brutal and animalistic. They must consume flesh as well as blood and do not obtain fangs, but instead have a jaw that can unhinge and open wide enough for their chin to touch their chest so that they can engulf the entire throat of their victims. A very interesting take on Vampires. My favourite show despite obvious reasons. Not only did you get all of the information about this show wrong, you made it painfully obvious that no research was done. Roman is NOT a werewolf, and is NOT the cause of the murders, he was the one who helped Peter solve them. The only part you got right was about the cult and Destiny and Pryce being main cast members.

And nothing about what you said about the cat happened at all. You seriously need to do more research on accuracy before you spread misinformation.

I love your videos, but you need to step up the research. I really don't want to be that guy but this was like the fifth one this week were you guys made a pretty big "oopsie" and left it in. Hemlock Grove was a fantastic show, but if you'd watched it, and not gotten the information of what I can only guess is a Wikipedia article, you wouldn't know Bill Skarsgard and his mother Famke Janssen are vampires. Roman is constantly struggling against his vampirism and losing the battle rapidly. He basically Teeters on the line between hero and villain for a good portion of his character Arc.

Werewolf 87 is the absolute goat!
Not only such a good series but in my opinion the best on-screen werewolf of all time!
I see everybody keeps saying it needs to be rebooted but I personally don't think so because everything they do nowadays in Hollywood is so heavily tainted with politics or b******* social justice talking points... And I wouldn't want to see that done to such a great story.

The tv series Shadow Hunters was ok. But the movie Mortal Instruments was much better and the actors were perfect for the roles. I don't know why the actors were changed and a lot of things were changed from the movie and the books. The series was very loosely based on the books. It would have been better to continue the movie as the series. The movie ended 1/2 way through the first book The Mortal Instruments. The werewolves in the movie, books, and tv series were very well done. The transformation was good. The wolves were in packs and could change at will and had to change with the full moon. And silver could hurt them.
Bitten was a good series good characters and they could change at will and with the full mood and silver could hurt them too.
Wolfblood was very fun and the wolves could change at will and with the full moon. Silver wasn't discussed. I just wish there was another season or two.

in Hemlock Grove, Roman is not a werewolf... he is an Upir, which is a subspecies of Vampire (1/2 human, 1/4 witch, 1/4 demon according to the Hemlock Grove Wiki page). Their hunger for human flesh can only be compared to that of a Wendigo.

A little correction, Roman from Hemlock Grove is not a werewolf never has been. Roman is a creature known as an upir, a vampire like creature this plays into their conflicting ideals in the show. I would definitely recommend this show to werewolf lovers, its a show you would not regret watching.

Werewolves are meant to be huge bipedal beasts that can run on all fours, with a massively muscled humanoid torso and arms, the head and hind legs of a wolf. When they're just doggos they're not very menacing.
