This is another great Voctave reaction! Next, please react to Voctave's "Disney Heroes & Villains Medley" for solos from all 6 Voctave men. After that, please do their epic "Prince of Egypt Medley". When Christmas comes around the corner, "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame" are musts.
Many (all?) of the members of Voctave performed (or still perform) at Disney World's live singing performs in Epcot called Voices of Liberty. Their arrangements are done by one of their tenors, Jamey. He's said that he doesn't write the parts by vocal range, but by each individual person in the group and their vocal range and quality. It's not just a soprano part or alto part, it's Kate's part, Ashley's part, etc.
I have saved this bookmark, and listen to it a few times every week. I am uplifted to hear such wonderful voices, and the reaction is added to our patrons.
All of Voctave's songs are arranged by Jamey Ray, who is the founder of the group and he's also the tenor standing to the direct left of Kate Lott. He's an absolute expert at showcasing the very best of each of his members' voices. You may find it interesting to know that the name of the group comes from the five (V) octaves of voices he has available from his singers, ranging from a basso profound all the way up to Kate Lott, a stratospheric coloratura soprano. SO, "V" + "octaves" = Voctave.
On Voctave's Website they said they've done this for about three years and they finally did a video. They use it to end their concerts. Am excited that we'll be seeing them in December in Dayton. Can't wait.
I had never thought of the song as a broader message of hope for the world, since it's from West Side Story where the young couple, like Romeo and Juliet, are wishing they could be together somewhere away from their fighting factions. It works both ways though!
no way! haha i love u guys = u love great music ! ok i be honest- i didnt know if it was somewhere out there .! lol- or somewhere over the rainbow - judy garland! but this was my third choice ! and its this one ! =- lol - wow west side story! - one of my fav movies ever ! voctave is just out this world ! good harmony always kills me ! wow - right to my soul! - wow much love to u and urs ! just love ya
