It is always a blessing to listen to Dr. Meyer. Dr. Meyer shares many admirable qualities w/ Sr. Issac Newton, St. Thomas Aquinas, C.S. Lewis, John Wesley, George Whitfield, Charles Spurgeon, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, William L. Craig, R.C. Sprouls, Ravi Zacharias, Billy Graham, John Piper, Ray Comfort, Dr. John Lennox, Dr. James Tour & Os Guinness. He is a thinker, a scientist, a philosopher, theologically minded & above all grounded in TRUTH. God bless you!

Wow! At 36:51, finally someone who uses "beg the question" the way it's supposed to be used.
Thank you Stephen, for the last 60 years I thought I might've been misremembering my high school English classes 😄

True, many reject the evidence of their own minds. Uncertainty has been made a virtue

24:53 "Uruk is mentioned in the table of nations in Genesis 10:10, so [it is] the oldest city mentioned in the Bible"
Wasn't the first city mentioned in the Bible called Enoch, after Cain's son? (Genesis 4:17)

I believe that he means the oldest known or located city that is also found in the Bible.
      We have not identified Enoch.

God *is* provable, but many have switched off the finest detection instrument they possess - their own minds.

What is amazing is that those who don't believe in God or "religion" what they will believe in.
Rodney Stark: The Triumph of Faith
"...[S]tudies find that in the United States the irreligious are far more likely than the religious to believe in a whole array of occult beliefs such as Atlantis, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, astrology, UFOs, haunted houses and ghosts" (p50; Stark, Rodney; "The Triumph of Faith: Why the World is More Religious Than Ever"; ISI Books, Wilmington, Delaware, 2015)

Yea, Stephen Meyer! The argument is backwards. The problem is not with a lack of evidence from God’s point of view, but is our freedom to suppress the information He’s given us. Which, I believe and interpret as love.

We are all descended from the sixteen grandsons of Noah. Give me your haplogroup designation and I’ll give you the name of your ancestor born after the flood.

NOT true: the Flood of Noah wasn't a Global Flood and therefore all of mankind didn't die outside the Ark !
The sin of the Watchers that corrupted mankind was localized to the Area around Mount Hermon.
And the Nephilim ( Giants) were the target of the Flood.
Obviously some Nephilim survived the Flood and why canaanites were unclean as they were infected by the Watchers even after the Flood .
With Giants still around that king David and his family killed.
      The Goliath family of Giants!

The only reason to accept materialist answers for life & the universe - like evolution - is the simple desire to deny God.
