Milan looks to be a very beautiful city Barnyz with its mix of modern and historic. Wow the cathedral is just huge, along with being stunning. The canalside looks like the perfect place to find a cafe for some people watching. Another gem in northern Italy.
One of the most fascinating cities I have ever been to. It perfectly combines and mixes the old with the most modern, the Vittorio Emmanuele Gallery left me really speechless, just like the Duomo façade. Thanks so much dear friend for your beautiful video 👍
Wow, it's such a beautiful highlight of Milan, so much attractions and yes reserve in advance is better as I could imagine the long line ups from around the world.
Wonderful video of a wonderful city. The Duomo is a marvel of engineering and beauty. The massive size and circumference of the columns inside the church are a testament to the amount of weight they are supporting on the roofs structure. I think every person that visits Milan should see inside the Duomo, but the many statues and spires on the roof should not be missed. The DaVinci connection is another good reason to see Milan. It looks very much a city that has merged the new with the old and all those skulls - were they real? The cathedral was stunning inside and out, no wonder you have to pre book and what a view and time - lapse! Real cool museum and Mrs Metalman would be in heaven in that shopping area. Loved the suits of armour in the castle and another amazing museum. So nice to see 'proper' art, rather that the modern stuff that is passed off as art today. Not keen on the outside of the church but inside was amazing and never really thought of Milan as a tourist destination for us but seeing this has sure changed my mind. Cheers Alan
Yes, the skulls are real. The chapel was first created in 1210 when an adjacent cemetery ran out of space. 500 years later, in the 18th century, it was replaced by a new edifice.
