So i am 40miles east of the borel fire- it was absolutely apocalypsic looking the second evening! A huge plume of smoke going over top of where I am! All along the eastern Sierra's a roiling cloud of smoke, with rainbow of colors

@@freelancerider100 have you ever watched the timing of some fires and the path of the smoke. It can become condensation over time. When you see several locations all starting at the same time, is interesting.

@@rushfan9thcmd yes! I've experienced the condensation of the smoke plume recently even.
The thing that I have noticed with experience now is the beginning of these very large fires, the smoke exhibits high surface tension- it sticks together much like mamatous cloud formations and displays a spectrum of colors on the shaded side of the smoke column... I seen one from shurz Nevada a couple years ago that had a lime/rally green color on its leading edge that was being pushed along in front of the smoke plume- not actually part of the plume! Seen a similar anomaly with the borel.

@@freelancerider100 some of the fires can get particulates up that cross some states right into some systems moving through. And also conveniently start at time to get it done. Remember those lasers caught on some IR satellite images a couple years back?? Both are listed as methods by NOAA.

@@irishspiritedgalcrap. Well at least you can see the videos. They zapped the heck out of things here this morning. No warnings, but lots of thunder, got really dark and plenty of rain. The stuff in Iowa now hopefully breaks up before getting to central ILL.
