I fish in Sydney and don’t have a boat so this kind of content is perfect learn from and enjoy watching because I can relate to it Thanks mate well done 🤙
Hey mate, so yup was using the Shimano Biotough 2.5 Fish plastic. Its essentially a paddle tail, I find most my hits for trevallies occur when I cast, wait until my goes close to the bottom from there I do a very slow retrieve just enough for the paddle tail to activate, then i do a slow hop 1 or 2 times then let it sink sink a little then repeat the process. Most of the time it gets hit on the fall or straight after the hop. Hope that helps.
Hey man, glad you enjoyed. Targeting these guys go 6-8lb leader size 1-1/0 hook and used cubed pilchards or prawns unweighted (no sinker) that will move nice and slowly down into their region of the water column. :)
How’s the twin power c3000 xd. Looking at the same reel for my med-light set up. Any post purchase thoughts? Cheers for the content mate, love the Sydney systems.
Hey mate thanks for the kind words & support. She's been perfect, hasn't skipped a beat! I've been using it for a while now on/off camera and really do love it for that finesse style reel. Good feedback, silky smooth drag, quick start up inertia & no hesitation from stop/start winds when fighting a fish. Perfect!
Generally it hits hard, you hookset and your good to go! Sometimes you can feel them nibbling their tail before committing, keep the lure going and they generally hit again :)

Hey bro, I know this was a while ago but when you were fishing that 2.5 inch plastic how were you working it?

@@FishingwithMarkiMark cheers for that. They look so good, drag sounds great on camera too.
When the fish hit the soft plastic, does it feel like a pull or a tick in the rod?
Generally it hits hard, you hookset and your good to go! Sometimes you can feel them nibbling their tail before committing, keep the lure going and they generally hit again :)
What rig did you use for the kingfish and flathead?
Kings caught on soft plastics, zman style sluggos & live prawn unweighted!
Hey bro was that little king at the start caught on the soft plastic? Cracker video 🔥
Hey my bro, thanks for the kind words. Yeah sorry forgot to film that part. Yup was on the 2.5" Shimano Bio Tough placcy. Lovely little placcy!
