If you could explain and expand on the deckbuilding. More specifically on card restrictions if any, How many copies of each...etc. That would be great.
Jake didn't mention it in the video but according to the right sided image in 18:31, which was a deck made by the AI, it seems like the max you can have is 2 copies of each card, EX Pokemon might be one per deck though. (Max is 20 cards)
I love Marvel Snap, but this game looks much better because these card effects already come with the cards themselves and you actually need to be lucky to get them, instead of simply having unlocked everything after a few months.
My take away is while they give you a lot, the first like, two weeks it will be mostly p2w, because you cant get most of the card pool right away, but then it will eventually turn into cosmetics, while the f2p end up catching to those who payed. They just wont have very pimped out decks ahahaha I look forward to play it. As someone who played the original TCG competitively as a teen, this will hit a soft spot
@@jordanvespa720 According to the image in 18:31 where the AI made the fire deck, you can probably only have two of each card per deck. Also, for some reason in 19:45 it says 10/10 by the rental decks... I wonder what it means.
Interesting how the free energy and 3 knockouts affects the meta, big basics seem to be OP because I assume they are one point, unless evolved mons are extremely strong. Or maybe stallers and Big evos to sweep.
Thanks for serving up the tea bruh. Dude I don’t thing you mentioned but can you reveal more bout deck building. Like how many copies are allowed per card? Are EX. cards restricted. Or maybe if there are missions that focus on building non meta decks and playing them
There will be 20 cards per deck, and it seems like it'll be 2 of each card maximum. EX Cards are also allowed, but they give two points on knockout, which makes it likely that you will only be allowed to have one of each per deck, or maybe even just one.
@@_shadiness exactly! That’s why I want like a ranked mode to put some attention to the battling aspect. The game tends to focus way more on collecting than battling, which I completely understand of course
Stopped playing Pokemon Masters because it started feeling like an endless mindless slog to complete missions and events. Love that they're just doing daily packs and hope they keep it simple and don't add too many FOMO inducing mission rewards.
They're not that hard to understand, they fundamentally work the same in this game as well, except there won't be a turn where you don't have any energy :)
im still kinda worried for the game bc every single mobile pokemon game has had its own share of problems. like pokemon go had the update that removed raid tickets iirc as well as glitch the player avatars that werent even that good looking to begin with and the battles became really boring and grindy. pokemon masters just wasnt that satisfying to play. i didnt like the idea of pulling for characters bc im not a deep pokemon fan so i had no attachment to them but the main issue was the gameplay for me. it didnt feel satisfying at all. pokemon sleep becomes a nightmare when dealing with attributes, berries and cookie management. god people were making EXCEL SPREADSHEETS to figure out what was the most effective way to "play". even with pokemon cafe remix i felt like the iap werent balanced at all and couldnt get into it. knowing DeNA is in charge of the game doesnt help bc their games can be really bad really easily. lets hope its not the case 🙏
Do we have any idea on how many decks can be made for specific types? Also are there benefits for running all 1 type or synergy bonuses of that nature?
No game brings out ranked mode straight away do none of you ever play games like call of duty or any fps game. Ranked mode always comes out in like the first season or even later than that. Why bring out ranked straight away when no one knows what they are doing it makes zero sense.
i hope they embrace ranked match

Sounds like Marvel Snap where you can get different variants of cards like a “pixelated Pikachu” but it’s just cosmetics. Looking forward to this 👍🏼

My body is ready for Pokemon Pocket.
@@JeffHoogland love seeing you here! Two of my favorite content creators!
Mine too, but am not sure my wallet is ready too…😅
Your body is ready but your wallet is not 😅
yeah but your wallet isnt ready for this ... trust me bro
oh Snap! Will you be snapping in Pokémon Pocket too? I'm ready for this.
I like the fact that there's no pity because that will incentivize people to trade for those ultra rare cards that they don't already have.

I'm quite happy hearing about Bot matches and missions, it will be helpful to a newbie like me get comfortable with the game 🥳
Thanks Jake answered lots of questions. I am super excited. Can I dibs a battle with you!
Thanks for your dedication to the community
You are very welcome!
OH no, the dopamine effect of opening packs will be insane. Good luck to all.
That's why you can only open 2-3 every day, smart move.
I think more the thought process behind trading was that people dont start selling rare cards for money
Yes good call
Not to mention people creating 100 accounts on emulators just to trade all the good cards to their main.
Thanks for all the info! One question though, I might have missed this in the video, how many copies of a card is allowed in a deck?
It'll probably be the same rules as classic TCG. You can only have 4 copies of any card. You can only have up to 60 cards in every deck.
@@_shadiness It's not the same, decks in Pocket are only 20 cards. Most likely 1 or 2 copies per card will be the restriction
@@jordanvespa720Ah, interesting... Also, have you seen any trainer / item cards in this game?

EX Pokemon cost 2 points, so it's not like you can sweep with EX Mewtwo and insta-win, there might even be a limit to one per deck.
The hero the PTCGP community needed

DeNA also does Pokémon masters. Hopefully there’ll be crossover where masters players are rewarded for playing this game
This is the game I have been waiting for, I really hope they don't drop the ball.
TCG being popular again. Oasis reunion... is this 2000? lol
Huh wasn't expecting this app to have Pokémon equivalents of speed duels built into it, sounds interesting
I am excited! Sad the battling has less of a focus, but I hope they will add ranked in the future!
Can’t wait to make content on this game myself!
The battling looks fun

have you played or tried the regular TCG already? would be cool to see a video of you playing/learning it!
hype for this! looks awesome man
Finally energy cards was what turned me off as a kid and never touched the card game

So excited!!!
If this game pops (it will) can we rename this channel? Surely it can't still the "B" tier? Right?
My pockets are ready for pokemon pocket
Very informative. At the very least this will give me something to do with my morning cup of coffee
When a new box releases will the previous one be gone?
Hey Jake, does the game have a typical energy/heart system for battling the computer to limit how much you can battle at once?
No it didn’t. You could play as much as you wanted
The game will still do great but they need to work on their release date. This drops the same time as call of duty so that'll impact it for sure
Do we have any idea on how many decks can be made for specific types? Also are there benefits for running all 1 type or synergy bonuses of that nature?
This is looking good tbf
Hello! Are you gonna be able to battle with a friend that is not nearby you? Is there a minimum distance? Thank you
Hopefully they dont throttle the amount of hourglasses you get after a certain point to the point where you’re forced to buy coins
"There will be ranked mode" is giving me Multiversus vibes. No trade at launch too. I have a bad feeling about this.

On attack order, does player 1 put a card down, then player 2, then player 1 attacks first?
Are there trainers cards for the decks?
im excited, but i dont think this will be f2p friendly and i dont need another game subscription
Looks so good
Soo.. if there's only one set at launch, dose that mean we can't use QR codes for packs like we do on the PC TCG ?
None that I know of will work with this game
hype!
S22 it's 2024 what do you mean you don't know how old the device is
>$10 a month
and i'm out.
Lfgggg
This game only exists because the ptcgl is hot garbage
Garbage cash grab as usual from pokemon.
Seems like there is pity system from IGN's review
ruclips.net/video/ctWeo9Tbcio/видео.html
its not a pity system as I normally know it. Its more like a crafting system but it is based on packs you have opened.
