As many have said over the years, wasnt a fan of all the big bulky snorkels on the market (Especially options for my 14) so this might be the route I go down! Looks great and sleek! Thanks for the video!
I was not too hip to the TRD DEI, neither was the dealer, enough so that I got my Pro for a ridiculous out the door price. I kinda like it now and always get questions about it. Well done brother.
Function over form any day brother! Nice install. Maybe one day I'll get the guts to tackle something like this. What a great feeling to probably be the only one in the states with this setup.
Wow brother you’re not afraid to do anything great job I would be so afraid to cut my new truck but you did a awesome job my friend God bless you and your family brother
I'm not a fan of snorkels. However, your justification made a lot of sense. I like that style too. It just makes sense not to point it forward where it will act like a scoop. As usual, a very detailed install video. I loved your thoroughness too (I.e. gasket maker). I watched even though I had no plans to install one of these. 🤔
Did you notice any change in MPG, particularly at highway speeds? With the intake being rear facing the engine is going to have to fight a low pressure zone to suck air in. I agree with you though that this is one of the best looking snorkels.
Always enjoyed your videos man. Now that you've had it on for a couple months, how's it holding up? I am considering one of these but have reservations on seeing it potentially get dinged up versus the flexing from the plastic based ones. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. So far no issues. I ran through some tight trails recently so it does have the usual pin stripes but nothing deep. I'm super happy with it.
This one started off for the Hilux and was tweaked a little for the 3rd Gen, I believe. Not positive. There are like maybe 3 in the states. Call them before you order.
It's enjoyable. With the window down you can hear the throttle open. Other than that no real noise. Nothing with the windows closed. Now, the rest of the truck is really loud so it could be covering up any additional noise. Thanks for watching.
I don't think so. They did juat make a new batch for the Tacoma. I believe DRT Fab is selling them now here in the states for In House Fab. Check with them. Thanks for watching.
These are super rear. Check Sloop Imports. They sell them here in the states directly from In House Fab in Australia. Call Sloop before you order. They can give you a time frame. I believe currently there may only be 3 of these in the states. Thanks for watching.
Highly unlikely. Small amounts of water get in no matter what with a snork or the stock intake. The stock intake box has a drain hole down in the lowest section of the box to combat this. For water to really be pulled in where it would get all the way into the cylinders. It would take enough water to fill the interior diameter of the pipe which would then create the suction needed to pull it all the way in. And, the water flow would have to be at a continuous rate. I have been in some very heavy down pours, I live in FL it's always raining, on the highway ripping 75 with no issues. It's going to pull more air at higher speeds. Hope that makes sense.
They are made by an Australian Company called In House Fab for the Hilux. They are sold here in the states by Sloop Imports for the 2nd & 3rd gen Tacomas. As you can imagine they are very difficult to attain. Call or email Sloop before you order, so you can get a timeline. Thanks for watching, and apologies it took so long to get back to you.
What! How? If it was through a social media platform I'm terrible with those things. I'm just learning the IG stuff now and have only been on FB for a couple months. Sorry about that. I'm down to plan a trip in the future. I'm a full time family guy so I need to plan it in advance. Always have a ton to do around here. Again, I'm sorry about that. Ok I found you on FB added you.
Please explain how this kills reliability. I would love to hear your thoughts on how moving the air intake out of the wheel well as anything to do with reliability.

Sweet, best snorkel on the market.

Any time, thanks appreciate it.
Finally found a snorkel I like.. nice 👍🏻
Thanks man, appreciate it.

Well done brother.
Thank you for the kind words.
Love my new snorkel install. Can definitely feel a power gain at full throttle plus I gained 2 mpg on a freeway run.
Nice, thats amazing. Thanks for watching.
Function over form any day brother! Nice install. Maybe one day I'll get the guts to tackle something like this. What a great feeling to probably be the only one in the states with this setup.
Thanks for watching. I think there is one more running round here somewhere. He did not film his install.

Thank you really appreciate the kind words.
Only one word Brother. Clean!🙌🏾
Thank you.
I wasn't a fan of the snorkels, but dude, that one looks great! Very nice.
Thank you, I feel the same way. Thanks for watching.
Much cleaner and nicer looking than the stock unit.
Thank you very much.
Great install legend!
Appreciate it.
One of a kind Tacoma, good work.
Thank you!

Damn I like that color on your truck. It's either this or army green
Thank you, also my top 2.
What model snorkel did that end up being? They have a few in their site and I’m not too sure!
This one started off for the Hilux and was tweaked a little for the 3rd Gen, I believe. Not positive. There are like maybe 3 in the states. Call them before you order.
Classy bro!
Appreciate it!
Love ur setup! I don’t have the ball to drill the hole on mine yet dou 😂
Thank you. Thanks for watching.
How’s the sound on it ?
It's enjoyable. With the window down you can hear the throttle open. Other than that no real noise. Nothing with the windows closed. Now, the rest of the truck is really loud so it could be covering up any additional noise. Thanks for watching.
How you liking the Yokos? I have them and I love em
Love them too, no issues and they are surprisingly quiet for an MTR.
Do they have any for the 5th gen 4runner?
I don't think so. They did juat make a new batch for the Tacoma. I believe DRT Fab is selling them now here in the states for In House Fab. Check with them. Thanks for watching.
what model is that for? i could not find tacoma on thier site..Thank you

A question in case of heavy rain, being in traffic congestion, wouldn't rainwater get into the engine?

Bro I cant seem to find the 3rd gen taco snorkle at the inhousefab website need you help in purchasing one. Nice video and truck. Thanks island
No worries, look up Sloop imports. Give them a call before you order to get a time frame on stock. The snorkels take a while to get to the states.
Where can you buy this in California?

@@ClassyTacos hahah no worries bro. I'm a dad of 3 and full time job so I get it.
This was the most useless butchering and questions way to kill the vehicles to reliability.
