    Man when I tell you, I screamed when you removed the sticker and revealed there was a screw below it. Turns out the plastic was detached from the motherboard and attaching it back fixed my cursor problem. Now I can finish my assignment and hand it in on time. You saved me money and stress. I'm agnostic but god bless you

      Man, THANK YOU. My mouse had cursor movement issues at certain directions & and the mouse just got delivered from online shopping too! Wasnt in the mood to ship back & deal with all that, so I decided to disassemble it.
      I was wracking my brains & turns out that damned plastic is misaligned! Put it back where its supposed to be & its fixed!

    Would have never figured out where the screw was on my own. Took mouse apart, cleaned the dust out, works like a champ. Great instruction.

  • @Steve_Mazza
    @Steve_Mazza 3 года назад +33

    Thanks for the disassembly instructions! It was simpler than I thought ... glad I didn't peel off the feet or force anything to try to open it. My mouse was missing about 1 out of 4 right-clicks and it was very annoying. Simply blowing out some fuzz seems to have fixed it for now. I am glad it's working again, as this M330 is one of my favorite computer mice ever! (Cheap to replace, too , but why throw out a good mouse if it can be fixed?)

    • @newoaknl

    Ahhhh finally! Thanks so much, my daughter smashed my mouse on the floor and I had no idea how to open it. Was about to buy a new mouse until I saw your video, now it's good as new :)

    I used some contact cleaner instead of wd-40, works just as well and it doesn't leave any residue which dust can stick to.
    BUT, thank you very much for showing us that it could be fixed so easily, I'd almost thrown out the mouse at this point.

      I tried to use multi-purpose lubricant (N10) and it turns out great. I assume any non-violatile & non-conductive solvent will work.

  • @KL-bi2un
    @KL-bi2un Год назад +2

    Thank you and I was able to get this fixed with disassembly, cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and then a tiny bit of lubricant on the microswitch.
    I've now had 2 of these mice fail within 13 months of purchase. I think it is a design flaw of the new silent micro switches
    Edit. Jan 2024. Now 3 out of the 4 I bought have required this fix. Must be a problem with the microswitch. The repaired ones are still working . For my 3rd mouse repair; simply cleaning was not enough as it was still a little flaky. I disassembled the motherboard and noted very little solder on the microswitch leads. I reflowed the solder / added solder and that seems to have fixed the mouse 100%. So... another fail point may be the microswitch solder joints. They are much finer than the old generation (ie: m525) series mice.

    I did this to fix my M220 left mouse button working intermittently. I've been using the small M220/1 logitech mice (mouses?) for years and just thought the button wore out after a year or so. Annoyingly I've been buying new ones each time it happened. Thank you!

    Even after 3 years of posting this video - it saved me 30 euro! I have already replaced my mouse twice and a quick fix of peeling back the label to find the screw and a dab of DW 40 made my mouse work again! Great video!

    THANK you so much for this, I was about to buy another M330 but this saved my beloved mouse.
    I peeled the sticker from the other side (removed the USB receiver) because the corner of the sticker was already sticking out there, saving me the risk of using a cutter.
    I'm super happy to have saved time and money doing such a simple fix on something I need to use everyday. Again, thank you!

    Tried this, didn't work. But at least learned how to disassemble the mouse properly. What worked for me was cutting a piece of duct tape into a tiny square and attching it to the underside of the button which reduced the gap between the mouse button/lever and the switch. Worked/s like a charm. Seems my issue was really what one might call a "light strike" of the switch
