Hi People,
In this video, I have tried to explain how Smart Serve Licensing works. Its a Canadian government licensing for bartending/server jobs at licensing establishments such as bars, clubs, pubs, restaurants, LCBO, Winerack wherever alcohol is sold or served.
This certification costs 45 $CAD and training content is valid for 30 days. There are 9 modules in this training and you get 2 final attempts for the exam. Exam is online proctored meaning you need to have a working Webcam while you attempt to give the final exam. If you fail in 2 attempts, you will have to pay 45 $ again.

Hi Vaibhav, thanks for your video. Have you been able to find a bartending job after getting the license? How easy is it for rookies to with enthusiasm but no experience in getting the job?
Hi Viraj, I did this certification to get into Freshco supermart as they deal in alcohol as well. I have not used this certification to get into bar-tending side of things. I also believe that if you have never worked in bar-tending before, you need to work somewhere as a waiter or server for sometime and make some contacts. This is pretty much same as back in India.

I don't think so. At least I didn't get one. Not sure if the rules changed and if they are providing hard copies now. But highly unlikely.

Hello, The picture is taken by them via the webcam. Please make sure you are giving the test on a pc that has webcam.
It says Before you start, you will need:
A valid government-issued photo I.D. (in their website)

Yes passport works, I also used passport as id proof.

Hi, Indian certifications are generally not valued here. Unless the establishment Is owned by someone from India, it's highly unlikely they will value your Indian cert. I would suggest you to get this cert here. Smart Serve Is local to Ontario. Other provinces have there own similar certs.

I had taken this exam in 2022 May. I was asked to show my passport physically in front of the webcam on the test PC. You can check on the official website if this process has changed or not. Check the website through the video description.
Do we really have to purchase online course or otherwise we can simply read modules?
You don't have to purchase anything extra. Course/free training is part of the exam fee.

It's quite easy. I prepared for two days just to be sure. Out of 33 questions you need to clear at least 28. You only need to follow the training material given by them.

hello Amit. Study permit violation tab hota hai agar aap study shuru hone se pehle ya khatam hone ke baad part time job krte ho. Educational certification se violation nai hogi.
