I have heard the Porta IC once. I will not name any names due to the statute of limitations is still in place. 😂

When is kern county fire department going to get a firehawk blackhak helicopter kern county is the only fire department that doesn't have the blackhak helicopters yet they can deliver 1,000 gallon of water more than the Hu1 has 360-400gallons of water

So currently Kern County Fire has 2 UH-1H Hueys, but I did see somewhere (I don’t remember where, but it was an official source) that Kern County’s are outdated and they are going to need new ones. I think they are going with fire hawks just like Ventura county. I don’t think this will be for a couple years tho.

I believe there is one new Huey on order, should be delivered next year sometime. No way the county will spend the money on Firehawks. They did get two of OCFA’s old Huey’s for parts last year or the year before.

@@joep.9411 i remember like 10 years ago they had 2 Huey’s sitting in the back of station 12. They got rid of them in like 2019

@@danielthewildlandfirebehavioor those were Federal Excess Property that were used for parts for 407 and 408. They also had some body parts at the camp in Tehachapi. The engines and transmissions in 407 and 408 are or were from Cobras.
