This is pretty spot-on and better than I expected. I'm glad you pointed out stuff like the character personalities being inconsistent, characters being bland, weird plot points in comparison to G1 as I've been ignored and told "muh reboot" or "enjoy and stop complaining" when talking to people about it. I'm going to be watching the rest of your Bionicle reviews, keep it up. :)
I agree with all of your points here. The animation itself, while nothing to write home about, is very smooth and higher-quality than similarly styled shows like RWBY. However, RWBY has more memorable characters, a distinct soundtrack, and better choreographed action, making it an all-around better series in my opinion. (Also, Umarak and Ketar are the only two sets to have the "Piece of Unification" in gunmetal. Set designer foreshadowing or complete coincidence?)
And then the inmates started to run the asylum after Volume 3 leading to a drop in quality that still hasn't lead to the merciful end of the series. At least Voltron Legendary Defender had the decency to end after a terrible 8th season.
Great Review! I subscribed! You should follow the Bionicle subreddit. It's a great community of Bionicle fans! Also I agree with all your points here. Sure G2 had some cool stuff but the lack of storytelling is what killed it. I could have forgiven the sets for looking less biomechanical if it had a good story, but unfortunately Lego forgets about the theme that saved the company...
Thank you for subscribing! I appreciate the kind words, and I may check out that subreddit sometime. Maybe I'll get some use out of that account I never use.
Yeah the whole reason I created a reddit account in the first place was so I can talk with the community. Now I used reddit for other stuff as well funny enough!
I'm a bit disappointed that the animation in this looks cheap compared to the Hero Factory cartoons & the LEGO TV Shows on Cartoon Network. Also HeroFactory>BionicleG2 #comeatmehaters also 6:37 Don't be shocked if you get a content ID from Viacom for using that clip. They've given a RUclipsr I like MysteriousMrenter a ton of copyright BS over the years. Also
I'm very familiar with that, and at least I have the iMac clipart around it so Viacom won't be able to autodetect it. Even if they 'manually' claim it, Lego could just as easily do the same, so I'd be screwed either way.
6:22, Kind of like Cinder Fall from RWBY before the inmates started to run the asylum.

Thank you. Hope you enjoy my other videos.
Valid points were given, yet lego doesnt listen.Only money speaks.

Wait so you bring up the dark energon volcano from prime but not the fact that Umarak is sort of like lockdown
So it's like Kemono friends on a way
enjoyed the review, thanks.

nice review
The soulless bastard line got me in particular.
Actually, it was 'set-less bastard', in reference to how G2 Makuta never got an official set.
TransformersFanCo328 OOOOOHHHHHH!
*in snobby English accent* it's Biological Chronicle not Bionic Chronicle
You're right. I thought it was Bionic Chronicle for most of my life until just after I uploaded this review when I looked it up.
Which is ironic since G2 doesn’t have anything to do with being inside a giant Robot
this exchange is well faked.... i mean well done

TransformersFanCo328 So true.
Also an excellent finale for the Bionicle animated reviews.
