Sadly, the past few seasons were a sharp contrast from the days of Kelly, Carrie, David Cook, Adam Lambert (the most gifted vocalist ever), and a few others. Idol recovered a bit on the closing. I also think America got it right by awarding Trent the Idol---From the live vote, he and "Porche" were the frontrunners. Ryan's last farewell words could not have been better. That said, I smell something down the road.

Love Steven Tyler. Lauren Alaina worked with my special needs daughter when they were in Middle school together. She flew us out to see her on American Idol she sang, "The Climb". All my daughter wanted to do was meet Steven Tyler, so Lauren went and got him. He was so sweet and kind to my daughter. He sat with her for a good 5 minutes and security kept telling him he had to go. He left with telling my daughter he loves her. And she loves him. ❤
