Having tried many patterns for crochet poppy I find your demo the most user friendly. And you crochet beautifully, straight to the point and simple shape. Many thanks for the time spent on this easy video

This is the most effective pattern, but hard to see your work as the camera is not close to your hands...

This is Eileen. I enjoyed this video as the instructions are clear and easy to follow. One problem, though. Because of the placement of the broach pin, the leaf points to 3 o'clock. It should point to 11 o'clock as in "the eleventh hour". Cheers!

You can place the leaf and brooch back wherever you like on the back. I just recommend popping it up at the top so it doesn't droop forward. I'm glad you liked the tutorial

That was so easy to follow and a fab result for a brilliant cause. It was so lovely to have UK crochet terms. There are a lot of sites that use the American term and I find it so confusing.

Thank you for this enjoyable & easy to follow tutorial🙏🏼Well explained. Done poppies from other tutorials, this one is my favorite one🥰 Thank you again. A bit of close up camera would be much helpful to see the exact stitch when you were explaining.

Hiya Claire, great channel, I'm glad I found you. I used to do X stitch that a friend made into cushions. Then I tried bead jewellery that I sold with all the money going to McMillan. Then, oh then I got the silver jewellery bug! I should say I'm 64, disabled and an ex-electrician/ lighting engineer.
I need to find some pieces of cloth for pictures of my jewellery. I'm only using ethically sourced supplies. I would love plant-based dyes if possible. I'm cra.. bad on a computer, I've looked but no luck yet. I hope you can help? Stay safe, Steve...

@@BeautifulThingscraftandsewing cotton, silk, whatever I can get but dyed with natural fabric dye, plant etc. Whatever colours would look good with gold/silver.

I wouldn't know where to source it I'm afraid but blue always looks good with silver and autumnal colours with gold

Hi i just watched the video tutorial. I simply like the way you have explained and demonstrated.
I need some help to mske an irish lsyered rose starting with 3 petals and next 5 petals and 6.
I am fine working after the first lsyer. But not happy with results of making 3 petsls after the base round. Same as donr poppy brooch. There is another row of stitches after the first inner circle. How do i distribute the stitches between 3 petals please. How many stitches in the first stitch. Thanks

I'm afraid without looking at the pattern and having a go myself I'd be unable to help. Have you reached out to the person who wrote the pattern?

@@BeautifulThingscraftandsewing thanks. It is something that i want to create with 3 petals in the first row so that it gives the look of a rose not fully opened. There are some on you tube used in granny square. They start directly after the first round of hdc in magic ring with 6 stitches. It is simple to distribute the petals and make loop skipping one stitch. But i want to increase the stitches after inner magic circle . Then distributing the stitches between 3 petals. It is pretty straightforward .
I have made but i think the yarn has to be the right.
      Thanks

The ones I make are done in one solid row and then rolled up to create the rose. Just make sure you do enough chains for the base row at the start.

I definitely do not want to subscribe to RUclips or anything else, I would just like to purchase a written pattern for a crochet poppy using uk terms . Shame you don’t appear to be able to help.

I'm afraid I only did this as a fundraiser for the legion. There are plenty of UK written instructions out there. Have you looked on ravelry?

Disappointing. Difficult to follow for a newbie as well as a leftie. Camera too far away to see what you are doing.

sorry you found it hard, it's not designed as a beginner project to be fair. Have you tried flipping your screen to make crochet tutorials easier as a leftie?
