@@errorissinsan Hello and welcome to Booktube! We’re all so glad you are here! What kind of books do you like or what’s a favorite book of yours? Very happy you found me! 💛
In my area we have a store called Savers. It’s a huge warehouse style thrift store with clothes, housewares, everything…and a huge used book section. We have to drive about an hour to get to the area where savers are located, but then once we get up there, there’s one about every 15 minutes. When we bring my daughter to and from college there are 5 savers on the way 🤣. If you buy 4 books the 5th one is free. In 2025 I need to get my used book shopping under control actually. It is becoming a problem! A super fun problem 😉
@ well when Fourth Wing came out and then nobody could get a hold of it, people lost their minds and were selling their slightly used copies for $200-$300. And people were actually buying them! I was browsing a savers and found a perfect condition hardback with dragons sprayed on the edges that someone had donated! I DID NOT sell it and still have it on my shelf with the $3.99 sticker stuck to it because it’s a trophy now 🤣
What a fun tag! I will have to do this one…though my used bookstores are not nearly as dramatic as yours seems to be! And I have that same edition of Marjorie Morningstar which I first read at age 17! So it is a nostalgic copy for me and I love it even if it’s faded and yellowed. 💛

I bought a nice Library of America book from them. Good luck with deciphering the credit policy at your local. (Half off the original cover price doesn’t sound like that much of a bargain. However, at least the store is organized.)
