@@kevintowle9665 I appreciate the compliment. I've never really done before but hope to do more. This feels gritty and novice to me but I am glad it's going over well. And yes I plan to do this again!!!
I knew it would be good. I'm glad you had a good time, was able to meet new people and add a few more books to your collection. The Skating Rink sounds like a winner. Keep me posted on that one. 😊
@jayaye1055 I thgt so too. A story about a beautiful talented woman in a love triangle (possibly a love square) told by three different guys... (possibly a part of that square). A love triangle? A murder mystery? Yeah. But thanks Jay, I'm glad I did it.
Nice job! I usually do this "challenge" anyway because I'm so chatty when I get to a bookstore, and I end up with a lot of books I wasn't looking for. It sounds like you got some good picks though! Those bookstores look so charming in the montage
@@Bougie_Nerd They are, Jess, they are!!! I love em!! I kinda regret not getting more photos and interactions recorded from me visit at A House with Books though. Haley was so kind. I was a lot more nervous at her store than at Mike's. Two young ladies only, present at the time, but it too deserved more photos and more appreciation. It was definitely more modern than Monkey & Dog Books indeed but still very cozy.
Fantastic video Charles! I love the sound of the Conor Knighton book. I might have a go at this challenge once I’m done with My Read What You Own Challenge
@@AlansReads You were definitely on my mind when I initially consider challenging some folks. But it's like you mentioned in a previous video how challenging tagging others can be. It's an assignment, like a homework assignment, in itself.... lol. But if you do participate you should tag me so I can make sure to watch. I'd love to hear of your experience.
Yes!!! This was an awesome video! Props for persevering despite two stores turning you down. Now, of course, I’m glad you leaned toward the original intent of the challenge 😆. I like how this is sort of a social challenge as much as it is a book challenge. Very neat unintended outcome!! I recently got a guide to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks so your book sounds so interesting. The skating rink also sounds surprisingly intriguing. Awesome stuff CG!
@@DrL_Reads Thank yah, thank yah, thank yah, Logan. It really is a great challenge and so right up my alley. Because I try to champion finding books randomly through searches and veering away from popular reading lists. I know there are some great books I've missed simply bcz I did not choose them during my search for one reason or another. This has placed books in my hands that I would not have acquired otherwise. I hoped and considered that was the original intent. But I wouldn't have this connect having not viewed yours and others videos on this challenge. The national park book was chosen by Haley from A House with Books and is going to be cherished bcz I love the feel of woodsy parks.
@ I love your outlook sir! I, too, sort of read what comes to me which is rarely the latest and greatest. I tend to find a current book I like and work backward into the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
@@DrL_Reads This is the main premise for my channel. Which is also why I don't have many Bookstore visits to talk about and share. I would not have the reading experiences I do today because there would be so many books I wouldn't get because of what they may cost me.
@@literarylayer Stepping out INDEED!! I was so awkward, or at least felt that way. But hey, I found some bookstores near I wouldn't have known were there!!

Awesome montage at the end Charles!!!! Very cool and sounded like a great time, and you plan to do it agin, looking forward to it brother!
