    I just did this, it was less than an hour, I’d say.
    Last time, I removed the starter b/c I didn’t know any better, and that probably took the most time. I’m also in an air boot recovering from a broken foot.

    Thank you for this as I have the same issue on my '05 Avalanche leaking. I just wanted to confirm because I could not find any other leads as to this particular replacement part (ac delco 213-354) on the internet not needing to be relearned. Appreciate the feedback

    CAN A LEAKING CRACKSHAFT SENSOR ON A 2003 AVALANCHE BE CONFUSED FOR A LEAKING REAR MAIN SEAL?

    • @JohnCRV
      @JohnCRV  11 месяцев назад +1

      Any leak from that area can be mistaken for something else.
      The way we look at it is, either way they have to be fixed and in the process of elimination you'll find out the next leak if any... Good luck..

    I think that the crankshaft position sensor O ring is leaking in my 5.7 litre Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine in my 2002 model Holden VY SS Commodore so I am probably just going to replace the O ring with a 14mm ×19mm O ring quick is 2.5 millimetre thick in the metric measurement or 9/16"×3/4" O ring which is 3/32" thick in the imperial measurement.
    I have a couple of O ring kits which has a suitably sized O ring !

      Some guy used it on a 2003 Silverado LS, 4.8Litre V8 no issues....

    I've ben trying to get teh starter out of the way to get to the sensor for over 30 min, cant get it back, sideways, up, anyway at all... its a 2001 Silverado 4x4 with the 5.3L LM7 engine... there is no run to pull it back at all, or at any angle. wire harnesses wrapped around it and behind it, along with some sort of shroud on the top of the starter

    • @JohnCRV
      @JohnCRV  Год назад +1

      Wow! I cant imagine it being tighter than 2 wheel drive but then I never had yo remove one from a 4X4...
      The "shroud" is the dust cover and can be removed to make it easier to wiggle the starter out.

    • @elianselmi4099
      @elianselmi4099 Год назад

      @@JohnCRV thanks for the reply! I spent about 3 hrs yesterday trying to get it removed without any success. I will keep trying this morning. There just isn't any wiggle room at all that I can find. Needs about an inch to clear the gear housing and can't find that room to get it of the way 🙄 on any direction... very frustrating
