His word play is insane. I'm around the same age as him and I feel a lot of the references are lost on the younger generation. There are so many bars that tie into events it's crazy.

Eminem has been the "If you come for the King you'd better not miss" for generations of rappers. He takes up a lot of space but he also takes a lot of heat off other artists. He creates outrage with Slim Shady, he creates pathos with Marshall Mathers and he creates genius with Eminem. How many rappers can call themselves a Rap God and not have a lynch mob outside their house?
Thanks for taking the time to see what makes this man the goat. Haters only judge him by his comedic singles, or songs they dont "relate" to. Just sit back and enjoy the double entendres, cadence and flow this man has. Incredible.

Yeah hopefully the more i listen to this the more i think its less Eminem claiming to be "The Rap God" and more him paying homage to the great "Rap Gods" before him.
I mean he doesn't really sayvthat he is The Rap God, but that hes beginning to feel like one.
Wether or not he deserves the title or not, Eminem is ALWAYS giving flowers to the people he respects.
The speech he gave during his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction is a perfect example of this.
My favourite part of the song is when he quotes an earlier song of his, and tells the critics to try to cancel him. It’s the Columbine reference, he quotes the exact same lyrics, and then basically says “cancel me bro, even though I’m not as popular now”.
