Wow that good to know what you all ate when in need so you can add more of those. Glad you’re back I sure missed your teaching. Very happy to see your beautiful face again. Stay healthy and happy.
Great job, Tilly! I have always had extras and have seen us through bad weather, bad health, injuries, car trouble, power outages, water main breaks, unexpected expenses, unexpected guests, layoffs, you name it. We always had enough cleaners, toiletries, paper products and water and we have eaten well. During the big P, I saw what was happening and started prepping in earnest. Now, we could not afford to buy a great deal I have stocked up on. Anything happens, we are ready for some time. I realize your prices have gone up, but ours are so much higher here in the States. The very cheapest tomatoes sauce is more than $1, (over .80GBP) and the same with basic soups.Anything extra or special are much, much higher. Lemon juice is taking off in price here. May I comment that at least here, many of the bouillon/stock cubes are full of MSG. I am allergic and it is really a chemical way to bring out flavor. I certainly don't buy them. I love seeing what you have that we don't. I have never seen canned haggis or mushy peas. The prayers for you never stopped!
Hello Tilly 👋 I must say it good to see you happy and smiling again 😊 you did make me laugh with your zombie apocalypse 😂. It is good to pick up a few extra bits of shopping as you go along . Hope you and your family are keeping well sending you all love and prayers 🙏 God bless you all.
There’s nothing like having the “insurance” of a well stocked pantry when something crops up and you can’t or don’t want to face the shops, like you mentioned the mug shots or cup soups, are ideal when you don’t feel up to cooking and cleaning up after it all, boil the kettle and the jobs a good un, I always pop something like these in the food bank trolley.
Great video Tilly. A prepping Pantry is such a brilliant insurance policy to have. I've relied on mine so much this year due to illness. I bought trays and trays of Tinned potatoes when they were only 19p a tin, and tinned tomatoes were 23p a tin. The savings have been mounting up as we saw huge price rises. I agree, only buy what you'll eat, and rotate through your stock. I buy herbs and spices in bulk 1kg bags and decant into air tight clip lock glass jars. Works out so much cheaper. I did the maths on some of the spices, the same 1kg bag at 8 quid would cost approx 6 times that if bought in the small glass spice jars! So pleased to see you back to doing this channel😊
Sardines are really good for us too, full of Omega oils. Love Batts sauces. Pour a whole bottle of Batts BBQ over 1kg joint of Pork shoulder, 8 hours slow cook, makes yummy pulled Pork, or you can do Chicken breasts instead. TFS Tilly, take care & keep really busy, & stocked up everyone. ❤🙂🎄
Hello Tillt! Its amazing to see how prices have increased in the last two years. Here in Spain its the same Sardines used to be 99 cents now 2 euros and that is only one example. So glad to see you back. All the best for you and your family. Love from Spain .
Thank you so much! It really is ridiculous that so many things have doubled in price in such a short time! This is a great example of one of the reasons we prep isn't it. 🌹 ❤️
@@rootofavalon3841 I could not agree more. It's quite important and so helpful. We don't need zombies😂to prepare our pantry. I think I am protecting my family whenever I add one new can to my pantry. Have a good week❤
Hey Tilly, agree about Nido, I seem to have a permanent tin open in rotation these days, I find it perfect for making sauces that need milk so that I don't have to use my fresher milk which we use for things like cereals.
hi Tilly, lovely to see you back, ive not had much success with dehydrating stuff. ive just got a cheap westfalia dehydrator. my stuff never drys out enough. do you have any tips please❤
Thank you very much! I have no experience with the dehydrator that you have, I have an Excalibur and I love it. But from my experience, it does day a very long time to dry things, I often leave it running over night... make sure the machine has plenty of space around it for the airflow. 🌹
@@HubsByG Oh no, that's such a shame, I've never had a single one fail, and I've done a lot of pressure canning with them... although I have had a couple of fails with Kilner 😳
@rootofavalon3841 I just use old jam jars, pasta sauce jars and buy those types of jars from hobbycraft. I'll give the HB ones another go. It's been 5 or so years so maybe they've improved. I also struggled to find replacement lids as they seemed a funny size. Glad they've worked for you.
Hi, I get my Nido from wherever I can find it the cheapest, most of it I've had for quite a while... but most of it came from Asda, and I also got some from Morrisons. It's well worth getting some in if you can, and it lasts well past it's use by date as long as it's sealed.

Hi Diana, thank you so much! We are all well, thanks... God bless you. ❤️
Its amazing how useful having a stocked pantry is and how much money it has saved us now the prices are so high x
Absolutely right on both points! 🌹

Absolutely right, it does give such peace of mind, and sometimes simple is best.

The recipes sound yummy! 😃❤️

It's great stuff isn't, and it keeps for a long time! I certainly try to keep a few in the pantry. 🌹

I'm glad things are better for you. It's really good to see you back. Great video. Which jars do you home can in? Are they the Kilner brand? Thanks.
Thank you, it's good to be back... I do have some Kilner brand, but mostly they're the Eerin brand which I get from Home Bargains.

Buying the haggis from Aldi works out cheaper than going direct to the manufacturer. I won't make that mistake again.
How strange, you would really think it would be cheaper to buy directly from the manufacturer!
