Thanks sir it works for me. What I did is just 1) deassemble the laptop 2) I removed and disconnected the battery. 3) After a 15 mins I connect the removed battery and assembled the laptop. After that I turn on my pc and it works the pc display is on now
Maybe you did this and it wasn't all shown in the video, but removing the small BIOS battery won't reset the BIOS if you leave the main laptop battery plugged in and/or leave the laptop plugged into wall power. You have to remove all three power sources and drain all power from the board to be sure.
3 longs and 2 shorts is the ram if anyone having this problem you should try removing ram or try change the replacement or clean it it should be working
I purchased a brand new HP laptop, and brand new PNY ram. The stock ram stick works fine, however when I remove that, and install the 2 PNY sticks, I get the 3 long, 2 short error. If I try the PNY one at a time I get the error. When I put the stock one back in, no error. Seems something I need to change in BIOS? Anyone know what to do?
@muhammademraanseo i ended up getting it to work, heres what happened for others searching for a fix. Even though I tried the following probably 6 times, it eventually finally worked, and it booted up with no flashes and recognized both sticks. Unplugged battery, press/hold power for 20 seconds. Removed ram, installed both new ram sticks. I press/held power again for 20 sec just in case. Plugged battery back in, and press/held power for about 30 seconds this time. Then pressed power to boot up. Took a bit longer, but it fully booted and recognized the new ram. Not sure why it didn't work the first pretty much six times, unless I didn't hold power long enough AFTER the battery was plugged back it. But good luck to all.
I got it cmos changed and worked but it suddenly turned off during working like when ever I turn it on two three times it shut down suddenly, last nigjt Now in the morning ,giving me the same three long two short error
I had the same problem it’s a bios corrupted error hold down windows and b when powering on don’t let go windows and b keys until bios recovery starts if it don’t start you’ll have to download the most recent bios update for your device from hp and create a bios recovery flash drive and do the same windows + b
I had this problem yesterday. I opened up the PC, removed the battery (my laptop doesn't have a CMOS battery so it uses the main battery as the RTC power supplier, so the CMOS battery is basically the normal battery on mine) and removed the charger. After waiting like 15 minutes and putting the battery back it started working cuz it restarted the BIOS.
i have a client who had this same issue on his motherboard. After troubleshooting and decing to replace the mobo, I ordered the replacement and installed it, the computer worked. After a few automatic system updates, the same symptoms started again with the new board. My client and i are flabbergasted to say the least.
I had similar problem with HP laptop. It was 5 long and 3 short blinks. It said some components are not seated well. So I opened the casing and ensured all components are fitted properly. The cpu fan was lifted a bit due to hinge problem. Fixed it and it worked.
sometimes it's a sign that your laptop's display panel / screen is not connected properly , please check and confirm that the fiber connector is connected properly

I have a HP Pavillion laptop. While I was searching in the internet, I got 5 long, 3 short caps lock blinking error code. The screen was on not black. What is wrong.
This is informative. I have a question that I hope you would be able to answer: I was using my phone and as I was putting it down, I accidentally dropped it and it fell on the laptop's top left corner, which I think hit the screen itself and now the screen is not working while the Caps lock blinks with 3 slow and 2 fast blinks. Do you think that the issue is the same as your diagnosis on the laptop in this video? We have an HP 15da. Thanks in advance. PS: I don't see any broken glass on the screen either.
@@danfromtechnesia Just to make sure, so you recommend removing the RAM stick(memory) from the slot and attaching it again, and if it doesn't work, I have to have the memory slot(where you attach the RAM stick) resoldered. Am I right?

My laptop HP ProBook x360 11 G5 EE Notebook PC. Ran in to problems the caps lock blinks 5 times, power lights on. When i press power button for 15 seconds and release, it turns of and back on by its self and caps lock proceed to blink white light slow 5 times. Noticed f12 light is on. Please help a brother here.😢😢
haha respect i would do the same! had same problem on laptop almost same as that ended me giving back laptop and just using $$ for bench fee diagnostics etc.

Was watching another video whereby the BIOS of HPs can be downloaded from HP to a bootable usb drive then a key selection on reboot rewrites the bios? I have the same error code on my 9470M I7 ,which sent me insane ..IMO it has something to do with the removal of the original HDD BIOS password protected drive..but then you would think flashing the BIOS would fix it Cheers

First you can try to re-seat the memory. Taking it off and install it back. If that doesn't work, check the memory slot, it may need to be resoldered.

@@danfromtechnesia And also, are you talking about the RAM memory slot as well?
