the fact that the best counter to Terran Ghost for Zerg in the late game is to Neural Parasite a ghost to EMP all the other ghosts really tells it's own story
It's kind of wild just how clean the tippity top players are compared to even people in the top 10, top 20 or so. Lots of just really small things, like in game 2 Ryung not splitting his medivacs when parasitic bombed, SHIN not cancelling the hatchery etc. Very minor details but not mistakes you see people like Clem, Serral, Maru etc make.
To be fair, both medivacs were bombed so it wouldn't have actually mattered all that much. The one that died was going to die no matter what. The one that lived would have taken maybe 10 less damage.
I love games like that, they were not on the highest, highest execution level, but my god they were entertaining! Did not know who would win till near the end.
I was so afraid Shin would attack into Ryeon. The Terran was broke and he had a fully-mining base. Get rid of half your drones, max out, and target units that cost gas. You will eventually win if you don't sacrifice your army for nothing.
We can all clearly see that Ghosts did have an impact on this series, and that was when one was Neural Parasited to EMP'd his Ghost friends. This seemed quite powerful and frankly, unfair. There is virtually 0 counterplay to this. Therefore, a new update to the PTR should be introduced: Ghosts cannot be Neural Parasited. Supply cost should also be reverted to 2. That should help Ghosts, the most underused unit in SC2 history. Ghosts really need the help.
So what you're saying is there should be no counter play for zerg against Ghosts sniping all their T3 units to death for practically free? Mmmhn I'm going to say no to that. Nevermind not being a hero unit like the mothership, and even then I feel like they should lower the Mothership's damage a hair if they're going to make it immune to parasite and abduction. Also most underused unit? You mean the unit that's being fielded by all the top level Terrans by the 7 or 8 minute mark? 10 minute mark at the latest? Are you okay?
That is completely ridiculous- just make it every time a ghost is killed or neural parasited, a nuke instantly drops where the ghost dies to ensure mutual destruction 😂
That unit, alongside SH, single-handedly destroyed Starcraft 2's player base and coincided with the decline of players and viewers (not the only reasons ofc, but big contributors).

I can't quite tell from the minimap where they were made with all the other action going on... but surely they weren't just energy fodder for the vipers?
Evo chambers have the most HP per cost of any zerg building. It is efficient to make for viper batteries, also saving HP on your hatches so they are not super dead before any fights.
@Seeker265729 I thought about that but there was only 4 or 5 vipers and heaps and heaps of structures this late in the game that they could have fed on... not saying you're wrong just didn't seem like the obvious reason given the position the game was in
The fact that Terran lose this game is simply because he made the forbidden unit: the Raven. It is an unspoken rules that Terran must not make a Raven in late game. Or bad things will happen to you

@@ZyoAISim They lost the first game because they walled themselves in with just a reactor, didn't have a bunker, rushed two hellions then didn't leave them or bring them back to defend, and did the greediest possible opener with no unit production or scouting. The overall trend of terrans not scouting is neverthless indicative of the fact that early game pressure against terran is increasingly unthreatening. Terran made a huge amount of errors to lose the game here, not simply lack of scouting.
"As of late, korean terran players do not scout....." They dont have to, they got all they need in any case, whatever the enemy throws on them. Marine+evac, insane ghosts, seriously overbuffed liberators and thors to swoop up air....

I have extensive game time in ALL the major RTS games since Dune 2 in 1998, including SC2, as RTS is one of my favourite genres.. I said i dont even play the game, i never said i have NEVER played the game. A simple question from you instead of a blanket statement would have cleared up that for you.... Given your anime-profile picture, chances are high i played RTS games before you were born... All RTS games is based around the same ideas, balancing strengths and weaknesses of units, classes and fractions... I dont need to currently play the game to see that terran has a set of units with VERY high synnergy effects, that flow sooo nicely together and is very hard to counter.

Yea, it makes the skill ceiling feel infinite, which is both a good and a bad thing.
Those guys do still very occasionally make those mistakes as well, they are human after all.. but it is just so much more rare.
