3 states now? 47 and DC to go. It’s more than abolishing qualified immunity. We need an actual separate oversight board to investigate complaints and incidents. One that can hand out proper punishment and submit charges to a prosecutor and judge that are not part of the courts the cops work in. We also need a dishonorable discharge for cops. You get fired, you become a felon equivalent like the military. Furthermore, cops need to be individually bonded/insured. Lawsuits need to come out of their pensions and personal assets. But with that, we also need a system that protects the honest cops that will arrest / report fellow pigs breaking the law. Lastly, they should have no ability to stop their cameras. It should all be publicly available within 24 hours of their shift ending. The 24 hours is to review any bathroom breaks AND insert flags for each interaction with the relevant information (so it’s searchable by cop, day, other cops on same call). Military standards seem to have dropped somewhat. My experiences were that you never walked around in uniform with your hands in your pockets and it was certainly considered 'out of uniform' if you were outside with no hat.
You are correct Sir! Another Soldier should have told him to go inside without a hat and get his hands out of his pockets. This is worthy of an ass-chewing!
Did you know that the Navy and Marines do not wear a hat inside usually? Army do sometimes wear headgear when in a covered area. No doubt different protocols exist in other arms of the services in other countries and later times. It fascinates me when I watch this that a police officer would say that *standing on the sidewalk* while filming "might not be the safest place". Someone would have to SERIOUSLY break the law in order to make it NOT the safest place to stand. After getting trespassed, I would look up the command structure for that unit and contact the unit commander to ask WHY he/she trespassed me. If he/she said they DIDN'T do that and don't know who did, I'd tell him he has a problem then since one of the people he delegated authority to had trespassed a member of the press WITHOUT telling the commander. Sounds like a disciplinary problem. ;-)

So hands in pockets is a no no, but shoving them down your pants we were never called out for that. We also had a bad a$$ super warm and very bulky fleece, that our unit would not allow us to wear over our Cammies but instead we would have to wear it under our Cammie jacket. Again nice fleece over our cammies not professional but under our jackets making it bulky and lumpy was considered professional. Oh the marine corps with their logic.

A lot of these videos take place in Illinois. I grew up in Illinois and remember constantly being in fear of the police. Funny that things didn’t change much over the years. Glad the state is now able to monitor these shenanigans more frequently with body cams and cell phones.
The worst citizen/police interactions that come to mind for me have been Arkansas, I believe. Their State Patrol has several awful troopers that have no business having a badge. Trooper Ryan Wingo took a passenger out of the car because he accurately stated the stop was BS. He's also being sued for shooting a beanbag projectile from a shotgun into a protester's face. He also shot and killed a suspect that he alleged was trying to take his gun from him, though no video of the interaction exists. It was also an Arkansas State Patrol trooper who PIT maneuvered a pregnant woman's car at 60+ mph as she looked for a safe place to pull over with her hazards on. I seem to remember a third Arkansas State Patrol trooper pulling over a truck driver for "following too closely" despite the fact the vehicle changed lanes to get in front of him, then actually asked to see the bill of lading for the cargo in the truck. Speculative, but he may have been looking for civil asset forfeiture. There was a guy transporting over $100k in cash who was stopped in Texas and, after Texas State Patrol called the bank he was headed to and confirmed he was expected, allowed him to continue. The guy was then pulled over in Arkansas, foolishly allowed the officers to search the vehicle (perhaps believing that Texas allowing him to continue meant he was good to go), and the Arkansas State Troopers seized the cash through civil asset forfeiture. The company was eventually able to get a portion of the money back, but they probably had to spend thousands on attorney's fees to do so and likely ended up losing close to the full value of the cash. I'm sure there are others that I've seen but don't recall the specifics.
Some times my ignorance is a blessing. Old school, lost with technology. If I new how to post videos, likely make a fool of my self. Act without thoughts. Goals beginning, middle, end. Prior a single word. Time my story told.
Every time I see an officer who says "My name is right here" I look at his name tape and try to figure out the *absolute worst way* I could butcher the name. "Macejak" is easy. I would have called him mack-a-jack... maybe mack-a-jerk. Edit: I looked up Illinois' wiretapping law because of what the video said at the end - that the soldiers did not give their permission to be recorded. Illinois law is "two-party" consent for private conversations but "one-party" consent *in public* . Nightcrawler didn't need their permission to record them *on the street/sidewalk* .

Never talk to the cops. It will never help you.
"He's walking around with a umbrella and phone holder" -army guy
What dispatch hears
"He's armed with some sort of pole weapon and a metal rod!"
Once the Officer asks for ID, he's making you prove your innocence. That's not how it's suppose to work. Officer should only ask for ID, after making an assessment of the situation.
You are looking for an argument, not peace.

listen the video I believed it stated that he was invited into the building but he decline just a note tis a crime under 18 USC 795 to photograph defense installations without first obtaining the permission of the commanding officer of the military installation. ... Finally, 18 USC 1382 makes it a crime to enter a military installation for any purpose prohibited by law or lawful regulation. how ever you can take picture or video as long as you not on their property and I believed the officer informed him of that and left
“Just wanted to make sure we’re in the up & up” wow, then he goes ahead and calls the cops. What a scary cat man.
So little training, so little common sense. Not everything needs to be a confrontation.
I know, it's almost like they need better training. Which takes more funding. So, re-fund our police.
Reform. Install accountability, real punishments, criminal charges, etc.
All the funding and training in the world means nothing to conduct when there’s still no consequences.
I really want to do this I’m sick of these cops NOT UP HOLDING OUR CONSTITUTION
The first officer was aggressively demanding ID without a legal basis. The sergeant did a solid job of de-escalating.
It must be part if their training to park in the most obstructive way possible.
Always. Gotta park like an asshole
@@carrythetorch33 Just because they can
@@clausstenberg410 not really they are stupid
Not that's the only law they break parking the way they do, that has to be the top 5 of annoying things they do.
I once saw a cop pull into a parking lot and manage to occupy four parking spaces at once.
This has become my favorite audit channel. Your voice, man it’s so calming. Keeps me from throwing my phone 📱 lol
These punks can't hide behind Qualified Immunity real soon and they will be nice or pay the consequences by going to jail or paying for tuff guy actions. They might even get smacked.
"These punks can't hide behind Qualified Immunity real soon" Really? When is that going to happen (real soon)??
Defunding or abolishing the police will not result in anything good.
@@ObservationofLimits "Defunding or abolishing the police will not result in anything good."
You got that right. Seattle saw at least 140+ cops retire early or out right quit for defunding and throwing their cops under the buss during their riots last summer.
Of course murders and crime have shot up. NYC reduced the cops budget by 1 Billion dollars and started "no bail" releases for arrested criminals pending trials. With the same results of murders are above all rates in the last 20 years.
The dispatch call sounds absolutely terrifying 🤣🤣🤣
The constitution seems very weak these days, sad
Constitution has been dead for a while we're just now realizing it at the last moment
I would say it was probably never really "strong". Transparency the past few years has just brought out the truth behind it. I can only imagine how many people have been victims to the government the past 100 years.
It's remarkable that despite 1,000's of videos, auditors still try to have reasonable discussion with the police, including sharing their recommendations to the superiors on the training for their subordinates.
That 911 call really exposed the level of intelligence our gov't loves to employ. Paranoia is a trait of the stupid.
Its Crestwood - they dont have enough money to employ officers who have degrees in criminal justice, or prior experience.
Facts!
They take every idiot that signs up, have to staff them somewhere.
Paranoia is a trait of the stupid?
@kingmichaeln1 to a degree. Unhealthy and excessive paranoia can be a result of ignorance (not necessarily stupidity).

Both the sergeant and the auditor involved didn't follow through on what they said. Sergeant was too busy, but proceeded to interact and somehow "remembers" he's been banned from the property?

This is a good representation of cops and how they usually are.
One try hard and one kid definitely bullied.
It’s cover, not a hat
@@ObservationofLimits I can't the term 'cover' being used but makes sense given the variety. Anyway, once you stepped outside, it was HOH.
Did you know that the Navy and Marines do not wear a hat inside usually? Army do sometimes wear headgear when in a covered area. The only military who are chastised for not wearing a hat outside or wearing a hat inside are usually lower ranked personnel still learning traditions. Freaking clowns!
The reporting in a system of someone being hostile and uncooperative is a great reason to never identify with the people unless required by law. They will mischaracterize the incident, tie it to you and cause negative understanding going forward.
I'm way too busy. So I'm now we're to waste our time escalating a non crime over a man with a camera but there are actually serious crimes going on that I'm going to ignore.

@@policestate4879 Your conspiracy theories are pathetic. Your attempt to blame the failures of the training of American law enforcement and military personnel on a country the size of New Jersey on the other side of the planet is even more pathetic. Police in our country are grievously untrained, and it is the result of the powers that be wanting them to be untrained. A police force educated about constitutional rights and Supreme Court case law is not profitable to those powers that use them to generate revenue. I usually ignore comments like this one, but I could not let this level of stupidity go unchallenged.

Who failed basic training? The ones in OCPs or the one filming?
@@MrRottweiler72 Why are the ones exercising a right getting the blame?
It fascinates me when I watch this that a police officer would say that *standing on the sidewalk* while filming "might not be the safest place". Someone would have to SERIOUSLY break the law in order to make it NOT the safest place to stand.
After getting trespassed, I would look up the command structure for that unit and contact the unit commander to ask WHY he/she trespassed me. If he/she said they DIDN'T do that and don't know who did, I'd tell him he has a problem then since one of the people he delegated authority to had trespassed a member of the press WITHOUT telling the commander. Sounds like a disciplinary problem. ;-)

The funny thing is hands in pocket is not considered professional, so we would put our hands down our sweat pants (during cold days of just standing in the cold for hours) use our thighs to warm our hands. So hands in pockets is a no no, but shoving them down your pants we were never called out for that. We also had a bad a$$ super warm and very bulky fleece, that our unit would not allow us to wear over our Cammies but instead we would have to wear it under our Cammie jacket. Once the cops knew he was not doing anything illegal, tell the people at the armory he's doing lawful activity and leave. Completely counter to the purpose of the military.
