Fabulous video but you could hardly describe hovercraft travel as smooth. My mate used to work on these craft and would tell us how uncomfortable they were and how often people would vomit 😅
I went across with my mum when I was young, they said it would be a smooth crossing, not sure about being smooth, it has the feeling of being on a boat and a plane at the same time, but still many people were sea sick, but the seats were comfortable

I travelled with a smaller version of this in 1990s from Hong Kong to Macao. It was fast at that time. Of course, something are faster now.
