So I’m watching the keto noodle fiasco and cracking up thinking this is something my wife, also Filipino, would do. I show her the video and reaches into the pantry and pulls the same package out. Too funny. I’m running the Super Pacific X1 on my Tacoma and love it. I have mine organized with soft pouches on the side doors, use their mole panels to keep things off of the floor. I also have their attic across the roof of the tent for additional storage. It also comes with an exped mattress thats really easy to push the entire bed out of the way and take advantage of all of the camper space.

Teresa said it's only 40 calories because you won't eat it all. 😂. She would also like to know if you rescued the dropped Doritos. Plus how many others got edited out of the video which also had received the same treatment. 😢 I'm glad to see you didn't have to add any MSG to the oatmeal. After the epic dinner failures. I believe we'll stick to our Ramen noodle to avoid any loss in sodium from our diets....LOL. We've gone from a large truck slide in (Lance on our F350 dually) while also using our Coleman popup. Then started an Expedition Overland Flatbed Camper Build on our F350. Then gas prices went crazy. Now to the GFC on our 2019 Ford Ranger FX4. Definaly planning to build a offroad small pull behind (something like the Mission Overland or OverKill with the slideout). I do love the Nucamp products based on quality, modern materials and use of space. We love our Pop-up camper just takes time to set it up. Each has the right application for each trip. For now we will keep understanding how to make the most out of something so small. Definaly no build outs. As you know, that just adds weight and limits each trip to fixed systems. Pick what works for the two of you we will come along for the journey. 😊 Mark (& Teresa) Hampstead Maryland Ford Ranger - GFC Camper V2 #1919
Yes I did rescue those Doritos after their fall lol! And good to know! We definitely want something a bit easier to camp in especially for longer trips and some light overlanding capability for those easy to access dispersed camp spots. Possibly an upgraded truck with a camper? So many options its tough to decide. We pulled a UHaul trailer from Alaska to Vegas when we moved down here and we really didnt enjoy pulling a trailer around but we want to try travel trailer life again under different circumstances (possibly through Outdoorsy) to see how we like it. Thanks for watching guys! Appreciate it
Keep the GFC as primary content. Maybe add a 270 awning and cook outside as part of your base camp. The interior can me organized with simple bench and counter for a clutter free living space even though it’s only a 5 foot bed. Lots of people want a GFC just like yours and enjoy your content because it is inspiring. So, make simple changes and keep rocking the GFC!!
Appreciate the Lake Mead vid. I'll have to give that one a try? Were there lots of people there? And don't feel bad about those noodles. I bought some of that a couple of years ago and it was freaking awful. 🤣🤣
There were a few folks around, the campground was probably ~80% full but the spaces werent too close to each other so it wasnt bad. And glad that it wasnt just me! lol Thanks for watching Jay!
Enjoy your content. I'm also in Vegas. After contemplating between getting a truck, buying a van, building out my GX460, or trailer. Decided on offroad capable square drop trailer. Just got it so no camping experience with it yet. But looking forward to it. I'd say keep your truck and improve it. Then perhaps offroad trailer? Also on google review some people say it can get noisy. What is your experience with this site?
With truck prices these days, I’m pretty sure I’ll be keeping my truck around for a while lol! With the Gfc overhang above the cab yes there is some wind noise but nothing crazy (unless it’s crazy windy) lol thanks for watching!
Good video. Was looking at GFC but i think its better for a Full size truck. I have a Ranger (5 ft. bed) and feel there is not going to be enough room. Even did a rear seat delete to help . Have ARB awning that i can have on side or rear. Now looking at OZ RV3 or RV4 Tent can connect to awning or get ARB Room under awning. Van would be nice but i know i would spend to much. Good luck with your decision.
Agreed, its definitely tight on a 5 ft bed esp with multiple people, luckily im not a big dude. Thats a good option for the awning room, i've been looking at side walls for my 270 awning so we can extend the living area and get out of the elements when its crappy out. Thanks for watching Kenn! Good luck on the build out for your Ranger!

Happy Easter Brother 🐣 I have the same truck accept its a Pro4x one of the best trucks I've ever owned as a hunter fisherman, couple years ago a got an A frame camper easily towed by our truck and has all the creature comforts of home with heater a/c casset toilet, outdoor shower grill microwave, stove fridge camped in it for 2 weeks just like a house.
Thanks Dane! Happy Easter to you as well! I've seen those A frame campers kinda reminds me of a pop up trailer but with hard sides lol the lighter weight camper trailer / tow behind is definitely an option (and it would be way cheaper than buying a new truck with these prices lol)
Since you love the truck, keep using it and maximize its capabilities. Get a lightweight travel trailer, something like a Little Guy Mini Max or a T@B 400. You can base camp in luxury out of the tow-behind and still do quick and simple overnight trips in the GFC to destinations you couldn't take either a van or a trailer, or a large truck camper.
Thanks for the feedback Paul! I'll check those trailers out! We've definitely looked at travel trailers since they'd be the most cost effective while keeping the truck and forgo a new truck payment lol
I always enjoy your videos! Sounds like you're struggling lately with space. Seems like a lot of your frustrations in this video are from moving things around to create space to cook. It does seem a bit windy, but cooking outside/on the tailgate always makes my life in the gfc so much easier than trying to cook inside. I've also done a "stand up" cooking situation when conditions outside are at their worst, where I move the two small square panels to the front and then push the long panel to the back. Then you have an open space in the middle. Take the cushion off the long panel and stack it at the front on top of the others. Then you have a solid working space for your stove/food/etc. It's also a fantastic working space for those remote work days on the laptop. Cheers!
Dude, good video. I like the way you show life in a 5 foot by 5 foot space. Also, if you like the GFC and your truck, just build out your interior to meet your needs….make a camper out of it.
@@Kadenventures Well, van camping is always cool, but I pass that on because I have an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper on my Gladiator and I've done nothing to the inside so I can "get a feel" for it. Right now I'm practicing where my fridge would go, my power system, etc. and researching the lightest wood or aluminum extrusion, so I can build it out just the way I want. I'm actually watching how you are "living" in your rig and using your experiences to drive my design. So, thanks for that. But, that is why I recommended it. Cheaper option if you already own the truck and camper and gives you almost the same experience.
Ever think of organizing a camp out/meet up with viewers? It sure would be fun to get out with some fellow campers in the west/south west! Great video as always

Love your videos!!!. How long in days/weeks/months do you think you could spend in one of those campers. Miracle noodle cheaper than knorr sidekicks, may try it. Hoping my 6.5 truck +pack out camper will keep me from going the way of purchasing a van.
Thanks Michael! Glad you enjoy the videos. I think I could probably spend a few days in the camper but usually thats no the way we camp, we rarely sit still were more of a camp overnight, then continue on our journey unless we are base camping in an area to explore. It all depends but with our current setup (if we have everything, privacy tent, etc) i've seen folks live out of a setup like this lol it may not be as easy or as comfortable as a van though =p What kind of van have you considered??
@@Kadenventures Not sure yet, maybe a ford transit read some stories about transmission issues. Today, found a canadian company who builds truck bed camper that i will be researching more on. Cheaper if i buy canadian plus there in alberta which has lower sales tax & no import fees.
Hopefully, you will respond to this because I am about to drop the hammer on either a packout camper or a go fast camper. I am leaning towards the packout camper due to the fact that you can leave your bedding on the bed and that the bed actually lifts up with the hydraulic struts instead of having to remove panels.. Being able to fix things to the outside of the camper is also a nice benefit. How do you feel the Tent body compares between the two? And is the extra weight of the pack out camper an issue? I can’t really find any place that does a decent comparison of these two and I know that you’re familiar with both so I would really appreciate your opinion. Thank you very much.
Hey Todd! If I had to choose between the 2 I'd honestly go with the Packout Camper. The weight is pretty negligable depending on your truck but the 2 points you mention - the ability to easily lift the bed AND store bedding up there is awesome (I do enjoy the formafloors of the GFC sometimes when i'm by myself but when I'm with the wife and doggo those individual panels are a pain to move around my 5ft bed with an extra body in the truck bed and a dog.) The Tent windows are also a huge plus on the Packout. Check out my latest video of me camping with the Owner of Packout Campers - you'll see the tent has a bunch of upgrades since the last time I showed it off (better rain fly option, the bug net on the windows make sense, they even have a fan option on the roof which is awesome). They also have additional storage under the bed lift now (over the cab of the truck) for bedding or other items. And the ability to hang stuff outside the camper with all the T slots everywhere is definitely a game changer. My latest Video camping with Packout here: ruclips.net/video/3WoYQ7hgKXI/видео.html If you have any other Qs let me know!
@@Kadenventures Thanks so much for getting right back to me. Looks like I’m going to go with the packout camper and I saw a couple of other options that I’m quite sure I’m going to need. The pizza looked awesome. Great videos thank you very much!!
Thanks and welcome to the Channel! I dont regret getting the GFC Roof top tent, its definitely an upgrade from my previous setup with the Smittybilt Roof top tent (easy to setup and I like how I can stand in the GFC ,etc)
I'm a fan of those veggie based noodles but I always buy the plain ones as a substitute for rice/noodles. I typically don't cook them very much to keep them firm and it fills you up and gives you the satisfaction of noodles without the calories. The sauce in that pack might have just been wack 😂. Give em another shot on another quick meal sometime. Make your own stir fry with protein and veggies and top the plain noodles. Season to taste. Almost like a japchae from Korean BBQ 🔥. Also a nice low calorie/carb substitute for spaghetti pasta. Obviously not as appetizing as the real thing though. Pretty much the same thing as subbing rice with cauliflower rice 😂 Keep the vids up man!
Good point ! It really could have been the sauce lol I'll try making something else for them. I love Japchae so i'll definitely give them another shot! Thanks for watching!

Yea I have! If you have FB check out the Vegas Overlanding page, i'm one of the admins there and we organize group trips from time to time. My travel schedule has been crazy these days but i'm hoping to get something together for Summer possibly head up to Utah or in the mountains in AZ around Williams to get out of the heat
@@CanadianCampPurr Thats awesome! I've never heard of truck bed camper builders good to know those exist lol
I love the gfc content, but would be interested if you got a full size and a truck camper, or stick with the frontier! Not interested in #vanlife
Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for watching Jonathan!
Truck camping with friends. Question how do you get your tailgate to open so slow without slamming down?
I actually added a tail gate lower assist! Cheap and it took me less than 20 mins to install it. Here is a link: amzn.to/3qHJSJC

If you have any other Qs let me know!

Thanks so much for getting right back to me. Looks like I’m going to go with the packout camper and I saw a couple of other options that I’m quite sure I’m going to need. The pizza looked awesome. Great videos thank you very much!!
You need chopsticks lol 😂
I know!! I failed this time around lol
Just started following your channel and was just wondering if you ever regretted getting the roof tent?
Pretty much the same thing as subbing rice with cauliflower rice 😂
Keep the vids up man!
Good point ! It really could have been the sauce lol I'll try making something else for them. I love Japchae so i'll definitely give them another shot! Thanks for watching!
Are you Filipino?I am not sure if you said that already. Beacause I am.
Yes I am! 🇵🇭
Get an AT HABITAT. MORE ROOM THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE
Good option for sure! Thanks for the feedback David!
