This will and can only happen on the fly with constraints, knowing your gear, and trusting the flow will come and stay. No presets to find here. Awesome set. Just pure flow.
Yeah usually when you hear a filter opening back up or an effect going fully dry, it's a good indication that things started to get weird to the performer's ear and they weren't sure how to push forward without a little step back. At least, that's what I do.
Thanks for sharing this. Can you explain how you are connecting the second row on O-ctrl to loquelic (or its filters) for velocity? What are you controlling on the loquelic?
Okay, maybe I'm on this island alone BUT... if it's more than one row of 3u and one row of 1u, is it really minimal anymore? I get that it's in ONE case that can be transported easily. This one case though is easily 8k$ so I wouldn't call that minimal for people getting into Eurorack. Just my thoughts.
Thanks for the feedback :) My point of view is this is about as minimal as it wil get for a 1h live set in a club. You can build smaller cases for tracks and stuff but for live it will be super hard. you need some sequencer, a mixer, effects, drums (I only have a kick and Hh) and 2 voices and filters. Also as you say the fact it is one case is for me the big benefit. You walk into a club and open it and play. No need to worry about wiring together pieces in a dark cellar :) BTW Modular grid says roughly 5k, still a lot modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2618901
I have a few questions on this excellent performance rack. Can you please explain: 1.) Why are you chaining the LPF and Mum M8? 2.) How are you using Plancks? 3.) Which role plays the Disting? 4.) How do you interact with your 1U Swtiches?
Thanks! 1) I find the MUM makes for some fun sound sculping if you crank up the resonance and I also patched in the envelope. However I have since removed it to save space 2) To have quick control over the end of chain high pass filter like on a DJ mixing desk. I also use it to co trol the filter of the reverb. Thus the Planks is like a „drop control“ 3) DJ style end of chain high pass 4) I use them to send clock and reset. There is some problem with the clock from the O CTRL and I cannot send it to both mimeophone and steppy. so I only send it to mimeophone once at the start. I think I will fix this with a buffered mult
@NM-tm4dz I was able to add screws in 2 spots only. It's kind of annoying tbh , I am not sure I would buy it again :) I will probably replace it with the DFAM
14:36 incredible sound…❤❤❤❤❤❤love it so much
came for the synths but i'm staying for the couch

yeah I also feel this :) Less is more

inspiring performance, Nero!
Impressively compact 😮 congrats for the minimalist approach ✨
Nice set! Really appreciate that you go through your rig. Always fun to see how others setup a small system for live techno!
Whoaa, that's a nice setup and performance ❤ subscribed!
Very helpful breakdown of your setup/ approach. Thank you.
Nice set! The techno is techno-ing 🔥
Great job! Very inspiring :)
Nice to see more than just your hands 👍
Y is it upside down?
Just easier to film!
very powerfull!

The second row controls the envelope that is already built into the 0-ctrl, and I just feed that envelope into the Doepfer filter to open/close it :)
Super Performance. Und wie immer je minimalistischer desto besser ;-)
machine from hell
Danke viu mou für de Spaziergang durch dis sischtem....interessant....stay tuned out of tune.....LG

thanks! what is the module you talk about at 2min05?
it's the SY.05 maybe, or Steppy?
@@nero_di_seppia the SY.05. thanks

@@nero_di_seppialotta thanks for the explanations!
Great work! I assume nothing is quantised to a scale for this performance?
no quantizer yeah. I used to quantize but I found for the techno I want it is better without :)
How do you mount and power the 0-Control?
@@NM-tm4dz ah I just keep the original power. you can see the blind plates bottom right cover it
@ Ok, that’s what I thought. Do you have it screwed onto the rails or just sitting on top?
@NM-tm4dz I was able to add screws in 2 spots only. It's kind of annoying tbh , I am not sure I would buy it again :) I will probably replace it with the DFAM
nice case, nice performance! do I hear a swiss accent?
yes:)
@@nero_di_seppia ah yeah! Schpillsch öi mal live irgendwo hiä iner Umgäbig?
That would be 84 hp ? or do my eyeballs fail me ?
@@Gman7953 it is 104 :) I think it could be made smaller. Here is the modular grid modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2616468
@@nero_di_seppia wow I expected 104 to be much bigger on the lap ! definitely piqued my interest, thanks !
Great video❤ but tbh there is too much reverb on the complete mix
Skipping the mounting screws = module death.
True, but I move it around carefully
